Falmer Ramp Up Events

Just a quick thought as people are talking about the first home game at Falmer in 2011.

We all already know there will be ramp up events taking place prior to the first league game and that these games will have smaller attendances to enable us to get certain safety certificates for the new season.

I was just wondering whether people actually interested in going to these events or whether they want their first experience of OUR BRAND SPANKING NEW HOME to be a sell out with the atmosphere to justify such an occasion?

I'm not sure myself how I feel about it and as I type this guess it may hinge on my ability to be patient along with the opposition lined up.

What dya reckon boys and toys?

NB - I am aware this is a long way off yet but we can never have enough Falmer threads on this board.

I am defiantly in two minds on this one. I'm thinking that I want my first game to be the full (sold out) competitive match day experience.

The warm up events may give (some) people the opportunity to sit in different areas of the ground to see which they like best, before purchasing a season ticket.

Its a good question.
Personally, I think I would like to visit the place when its not hosting an event, just to choose my seat on one of the "hard hat" days, and then just leave it until the first actual football match there, which will presumably be a friendly.

Are the ramp-up events even necessarily going to involve the Albion? Presumably all they need to do is make whatever number of seats available for the events rather than sell that number of seats, meaning they could easily let Lewes/Crawley/Worthing/whoever play a game or two in the warmup...

I cannot foresee a situation where, after what will be 14 years of waiting for a new home, they let Lewes or Crawley play in it before we do.
