Now I was thinking about pre-match beverages the other day and it occured to me that this is either drink quite far from the ground i.e Lewes road end or god forbid hikers rest or try my luck in the tiny world of the swan and that will be 3x pints each per bar visit!
I have read and heard about the concourse bars available inside the staduim which got me thinking.
I think it would have been class to have an albion style sports bar on the site...few pool tables and also open 7 days a week with albion showing on the screens like has been mentioned for inside the ground, maybe on the left hand side as you drive in. This would be in the style of Shearer's bar for Newcastle.
Just a thought, im not sure how it stands in regards to planning regs and licenses and extra cost implications for stewarding and policing but if the club owned and ran it then it surely would be profitable and instead of Lewes road drinking and the traffic/train congestion many people would use it as to get in and around the ground early.
