Banging on about it? It wasn't until reading that he wants to sell the boots to put in the Albion museum that I even thought about it. I just remember him acting like a cock that day, and if he really is trying to get £10K out of the club for them then it pretty much confirms my initial opinion. Seems there are a few who agree with me.

I have no intention of selling the boots to the club, I am as yet undecided about giving the boots to the club though. At the time I promised my son he can wear them when he fits into them, so torn between 2 choices.

Like I said before though, move on in your life, there are more important things to bang on about now.

Its funny though, the original message written by me old mukka Scouce was written to see who took the bait, and guess what you did. We both knew someone would say something about it from 13 or so years ago. It was a piss take and a laugh and I guess the laugh is on you.

So what ARE you going to do with them Toughman? You could donate them to the museum as long as they put your name on the glass housing. That would upset a load on here.

Did you ever wear them for the Hartington?

I would consider donating a couple of 'Brighton & Hove Albion - The Dolphins' scarves plus my 8ft x 1.5ft Goldstone North West Terrace sign if they were deemed suitable museum material.

I wish I did even play for them let alone wear the boots to small for me think they are a size 7.

What a great team "The Hartington" were, I believe they were the best team around at that particular time.

Managing them was the next best thing for me, some great memories that will never be forgotten.

As for the boots, as I say the Jury is still out my heart says keep your sons promise and my other heart says donate them to the museum.

I think I would ask for my name to be in there too lol

I have a huge banner, removed by one of the younger members of the Bracknell posse from the footbridge over the A27 at Falmer, that had been put there by the locals, urging a NO NO vote in the referendum.

Right, very sad I know but I had a little dream about this falmer museum last night and thought i'd share my 'vision'.

The club commisions some detailed scale models of an early 20th century Goldstone, the goldstone in all it's glory, the Withdean and of course the Amex. These models are then sunken into the floor of the museum and covered in glass, as the visitor walks over the glass, the models (with motion detectors) are lit up, perhaps by miniture floodlights at the same time the walls around the area have videos of the crowds and key moments of our history projected onto the walls with audio too. All of this layed out chronologically could offer a wonderful interactive journey through our history. I think it would be pretty unique.

It could be crap but in my dream it looked fantastic.

Thoughts?

The technology to support this sounds very like the Gridio project that the heir to the Bracknell title was involved in developing and performing a few years back.

Gridio - projects

They've done a number of major installations - at places like the Pompidou Centre in Paris, MACBA in Barcelona, Graz, and the O2 and the National Film Theatre in London. And they are locally based, in Brighton.

do you think it's a good idea LB?

I think it would be brilliant, if done properly. But that could cost. I doubt if the museum budget would stretch to anything like what the Pompidou Centre had available to them when they commissioned the original Gridio project.

Even allowing for the fact that equipment is cheaper these days and the software is now way beyond the development stage, you'd still have to source and produce the Albion-specific content and match it to how it was going to be used. That would need the time of people who know what the are doing. And, to be honest, I don't know how busy all of them are these days.

If there was a real prospect of the project being commissioned, I could make some enquiries or point a commissioner in the right direction.

I suspected it might be a bit expensive, I just thought having something interactive and a little different would really capture the imagination of our younger fans and become a real talking point.

Whatever we end up with, i'm sure it will be fantastic and hopefully any fans who have picked up pieces of Albion history over the years, will feel compelled to donate to the museum, it would be a shame if these items were stuck on someones mantle piece for no one to see and enjoy.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
