...and they are hardly likely to make a big deal unless they do decide to appeal

I am sure they will appeal as they've been entrenched in their position for far too long, and the mentality and arrogance they have shown will not allow them to back down.

And it will cost them a lot of cash. Shame.

They need to find legal grounds to appeal on, not just because they don't like the decision. If LDC are claiming to want to work with us, surely FPC would be better of working with us as well. Otherwise they will be ostracising (sp?) themselves.

We'll have to wait and see.

But if their lawyer wants his new Ferrari then it wouldn't be too difficult for him to pursuade them that they have a case... it's what they want to hear afterall... now it may be thrown out of court at stage 1, but there would still be some sort of initial hearing.

Just one individual has had to pay £8000 in costs in the incinerator fight at High Court after having her case thrown out.

Why don't BHAFC hire the top Barrister in the uk? The costs would sting FDC when they lose

The case would be defended by the Government, not the Albion (unless FPC are as STUPID as LDC were last time - and name Brighton & Hove City Council and Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club Ltd as co-defendants).

The Government has access to some VERY expensive lawyers.

Any news from the meeting yet? Has the press and public been thrown out of the village hall by the Nimby police ready for the top secret lawyers report?
