That is PR speak ... technically the issue is "Still under consideration" until the announcement is made!!!!

Should have warned you that press officers can be very coy about speaking to someone who is not from the press ... or who doesn't pretend to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why don't people just go to:- http://www.odpm.gov.uk/pns/newslist.cgi and get the information first hand themselves...

The announcement will be made on this link, so I'd suggest trying here at 9.00am sharp and then if there is still no mention at 9.05am then come to this forum in case the media has got the info before the official website is updated.

I am a reporter and rang the press office just now but they said there was no embargoed announcement and would only say there would be something tomorrow morning. She would not specify a time and also sounded a bit flustered as if she had loads of people ringing about it. Reckon the other number given is just to fob people off who are not journos. Sounds to me like they are not releasing anything under embargo because of the very large potential for people breaking it.
