Yup, that was me, and for the record my email was:

"I am disappointed in the fella, and as a bloke with a reputation for integrity, I'm sure it doesn't sit too comfortably with him either.
On the one hand, we can all say "who can blame him - we'd all take a job with more money and better facilities"

But Dick Knight worked so hard to get Coppell to sign in the summer. He had the respect of the players and the fans, was bringing some success on the field, and building on his (already) decent reputation for what he was doing down here. Now clearly he has not left this job lightly. But the bottom line is, he's walked out on us within a couple of months of (supposedly) committing himself to us for this season.

I feel he's let Knight, the club, the players and the fans down badly, and I'm sorry to say he does NOT go with my best wishes. I thought he'd show more loyalty then this. I was wrong.".


Needless to say, Ray Houghton totally disagreed with that, but then I wouldn't expect an ex-footballer to understand anything about loyalty.

We had all of 5 minutes.

I was very disappointed in the show. It is supposed to be about division 1, 2 and 3 teams, but mainly went on about England.

They gave it no more than 5 mins of airtime, but it's better than nothing. Brings a few more thousand people in to the Falmer picture, hopefully.

Gritt - sounds like yours was the email that Adrian Durham said was too long to read out!

I'm recording the rest of the show now, in case there's any response/further discussion.

He said it was "too long to read out in full" which was fair enough, but did then read out quite a lot of it. I was pleased that he really did pick out all the best points, so clearly did read it through properly and consider it carefully.
