On a Thursday night, Talksport have a programme from 7pm called "Football 1st, 2nd and 3rd," where they cover issues outside of the Premiership. Surely the big talking point will be the appointment of Coppell, and Madjeski's aboutface on poaching managers.

Personally, rather than laying into Reading, Coppell, Madjeski or anyone else we can think of blaming, lets use it as a chance to highlight how important Falmer is to us, and the future of our Football Club.

I have already emailed the show, outlining the points about Falmer, and how THAT is the root cause for us continually losing successful managers. If you can, listen in and try to get on. We don't often get airtime, so let's use it for something productive, and get some good articulate points over.

Last week there was a debate about Coppell possibly going and there was a Reading fan saying that it wasn't poaching as Coppell has a release clause allowing him to go to a "club in a higher division." Next up was a Brighton fan slagging the Reading "numpty, who thinks Reading are a bigger club. They're not and therefore Coppell shouldn't be allowed to go there."

Please, please, let's have some intelligent points made, and I reckon we are best served by using the airtime we get to make the case for Falmer.

Nice work Gritty, lets hope talksport give it some decent airtime. Coppell is the past, Falmer is the future and what is important.

Adrian Durham is the presenter and he's a big Peterborough fan, so I did offer to buy him as many pre-match beers as he could stomach on Nov 1st, if he read my email out.

Worth a go.

Make sure that you do NOT assume that other fans know where or what Falmer is. Say "new stadium planned on the outskirts of Brighton, right next to Falmer station, but not actually in Falmer itself" or words to that affect. (Obvious)

Good one Gritt (although I feel they should be made aware of Reading's hypocracy).

Anyone know what time it's on tonight?

Looking forward to hearing you on TV!

BB - lets not go for the hypocrisy thing as who knows who our next manager will be and how we come to acquire him. Pots, kettles etc.

Yep, 8pm kickoff, the egg-chasers have hijacked the first hour.

I've seen Grittys email, and its well worth a listen if they read it out.

Just heard it - well, about 30 mins ago...

They gave it no more than 5 mins of airtime, but it's better than nothing. Brings a few more thousand people in to the Falmer picture, hopefully.

Gritt - sounds like yours was the email that Adrian Durham said was too long to read out!

But he did read one out from "Easy" - I'm assuming that's you, Easy10?!?

I'm recording the rest of the show now, in case there's any response/further discussion.

Its a joke the club has no back up plans for falmer.

Sent in emails but they aren't talking about us much

Kinky; There can never be a public back up plan. If there was, the whole point of claiming we have to have the stadium or go out of existance would be usless.

Also e-mailed the show to put Ray Troughton right about the problems of the Falmer planning application, as he was have a veiled dig at Dick early in the show, unfortunately not read.:nono:
