Falmer - After RK says Yes

I seem to recall that this was part of his deal when he invested in the club - Adenstar will be a preferred bidder.
If you read their website, Adenstar don't claim to be capable of being the main contractor for a project as big as Falmer. Most of their work on major projects is done in partnership with other contractors. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them working on the Falmer scheme, but I doubt if they would be more than a bit-player.

I'm sure that following the Yes decision the Club will have to update the funding plans anyway to satisfy the lenders (the main funding is a mortgage written against season tickets and gate receipts I believe).

I know this goes against the opinions of many people on this board but Knight and Perry are actually pretty good at running a football club. They've proven they can attract good managers and keep fans interested (we're just in a dip at the moment). What I expect we'll see is, when funding is in place and building work started, the playing budget will start to increase such that we start to play interesting football again (well at least occasionally) and get back up to the Championship. Apart from the last couple of seasons we were entertaining to follow. The effect of this is to start growing the crowds ready for Falmer so when we get there we're pulling in 8-10k fans each week.

We were a big club, we will be again. May not feel like it at the moment but that's because we're all suffering Falmer Fatigue.

Agreed. Perhaps it would be this bit?

"Adenstar (Reinforced Concrete) Limited is the specialist reinforced concrete and formwork company within the Adenstar Construction Group. It carries out all types of reinforced concrete construction such as multi-storey frames, retaining walls, bridges, reservoirs etc."

From the point of view of the financial backers of the stadium project, it's probably VITAL that Knight and Perry present themselves as people who will safeguard the integrity of the club's finances - even at the expense of short-term success on the pitch.

This could explain the announcement that the CKR windfall won't be put into an already settled playing budget.

I,m intrigued as to who the financial backers are...?

I look forward to the human chain of Students stopping the diggers.

I am a lover, not a fighter, but I would happily remove them one-by-one, with force if necessary.
