That’s the problem I won’t, even the Liverpool win gave only a blip of pleasure. I hope it comes back but right now I’m cold to it.

I was delighted when we were promoted to the top league and purchased a season ticket for the first time, at the end of the first season i began to realise that the days of entertaining football and playing sides who we were capable of defeating were not often, at the end of the second season i knew that to survive we had to mainly play a defensive style which bored me and i did not renew my season ticket.
I feel that in the Championship with our present coach and the majority of the team we could again turn on an entertaining display and be able to secure a position in the top half of the league

Out of interest, when we were in the championship, how many games did you get to go and see?

It's not Potter, tho his nerdy fan club do need to grow up a bit. It's more the accumulated drag of 4 successive relegation campaigns, our entire training and experience as football fans means we do crave a bit more variety than this. There is no obvious answer to this of course, getting out of the eternal bottom 5 scrap is mega hard and will probably take more than spending than the board want to do. Catch 22, more of the same next season or do a Norwich yo-yo? Getting the striker we need that will cheer everyone up seems to be beyond us

What would be interesting to know is how many of those that have fallen out of love with the football are a) season ticket holders, b) long term season ticket holder ie, in excess of 7 years say, c) those that did match by match, maybe 2/3rds of the home games and d) those that went three or four times a season.

I guess you missed the excellent interview with him on radio 5 a few weeks ago. He was teased a bit at the start about his reticence when interviewed about the Albion. But when talking about his life he was a different man entirely. Funny, engaged, forthcoming....at the end they asked him about our next game and he switched instantly into his midlands verion of EL Wisty, and the interviewers all laughed.

Alf Ramsey put on a posh accent and used weird expressions like 'most certainly' when interviewed by the media, but in real life with the players he was quite different. Potter's the same. It's obvious.

I have mentioned previousy that some of the vitriol thrown at Potter on here by a minority of prats (one recently banned, again, I see) is little more than bullying. Bloke doesn't talk and act like he's in a gang or down the pub so people pick on him, like we used to flick the ear of a boy in our class with big ears, and kick the back of his legs under his chair, back in the day, because we were little shits.

Like you, I detest bullying, in fact it makes me go the other way and support the intended victim even more.

A 10/10 performance from GP today, he left Hasenhuttl in a spin, with the hapless Vestergaard and Bednarek arguing amongst themselves as our passing and moving left them for dead.
