God...how times have changed....cannot believe some people do not know what a faggot is....(the food...not what some of you comedians think!)...It was always a part of the diet during the war. But there again a lot of foods have gone out of fashion. Brawn,Junket,Pigs Trotters,Pigs cheek,Tripe and Onions,Sago pudding,Semolina pudding...there again in 50 years time people will notice a change in food choices again.
I do have some Faggots in the freezer....love them.

Very few butchers now sell home made faggots due to the regulations on labeling of ingredients. I would think that the vast majority of people that eat faggots buy the Brains frozen ones. When we had a pub in Midhurst I looked up the recipe on the internet and made them as a lunch special and they went down a treat, so well in fact that I made them a regular special. I or rather wife also had a great demand for bacon and onion roly poly suet pudding.

Mmmmmm....Brain's Faggots were a staple part of my diet when I was living in Brighton and unemployed - faggots just don't seem the same without the faint taste of burnt cardboard
