Who have we sold for a loss (without getting our moneys worth) in our recent history? (Following a loan or otherwise.) I cannot recall many, if any ‘flops’ of late, (PL era) and yet listening to some of you, you’d think we’d done it repeatedly.

A thread of players purchase price, tenure and sale price would be fascinating to see. Does this information exist anywhere? Thanks
You can find the info you want here if that’s any help

Me too, my big worry is that lately in the past few years players who seem to go out on loan from us, either don't make it or don't want to come back.

Yep you're right.

Well, apart from Kaoru Mitoma.
Oh, and Simon Adingra.
Well, and Jan Paul van Hecke.
And Moises Caicedo.
Oh, and Alexis Mac Allister.
And Ben White.
Oh, and Robert Sanchez.
...
The thing with that list of players is that they all went on loan before they became regular squad players, part of their development path.

The list of players who were members of our first team squad and then went on loan isn't as impressive - Aaron Connolly, Steven Alzate, Undav, Zeqiri - they don't tend to come back. Will see what happens with Sarmiento and Buonnanotte.

With Mac Allister, Mitoma and Adingra they were all on loan because they couldn’t get work permits immediately.
Obviously it aided their development but we don’t know what the plans would have been if we could have got them work permits immediately.

With yet another change in work permit rules since those players were signed it’s very unlikely we will have to go down that route again and most loan moves will now be about development rather than work permit points.

Delighted that Goodnight has signed a new deal. Massive reassurance that his future is here for both the player and us fans. Hope he’s the shining light in an otherwise shite Leicester side.

Love the contract extension. We want you to play more football and you want get it this season, but you're still a massive part of our future.
Exactly. I think this is pretty much the perfect scenario. A season playing regularly in the PL will be great for his development and hopefully we can take advantage next season.

He was far more effective tonight than he’s ever been for us.
This is why loans can be a good thing for development

Thought he looked pretty decent tonight but as often was the case in many of last seasons games looks like he needs to improve his fitness and stamina.

Good performance and should have had an assist from that very well weighted pass to put Vardy through. Promising start for him.
