Defences will clam up against him now though.
They have been since he’s been playing in a central position tbh - he was always going to be a target for defenders in the EPL, that was obvious since he joined us because of the style of play he demonstrated at Rosario but he is getting physically stronger as the months go by and now winning back balls after losing possession. He also has had some very good shots on target without scoring - for me, one of his skills is finding space when he’s off the ball in the 18 yard area and reading where the end of crosses will be.

Hinsh and Facu are very similar younger generation players imo - both, instinctive footballers, full of attacking energy and commitment and both positionally versatile who can use wide areas of the pitch to their advantage. The only other player, one far more advanced and that has that in buckets for me, is Grossmeister.

He's f***ing brilliant.

I’m not selling the shirt I bought last season yet 😉

National league winger but potentially world class number 10. Can't wait to see him play more in his proper position.
Scoring goals is the hardest part of the game and he has it. He simply shouldn't be judged playing 7.

Also, he does take an absolute kicking every game.
Tough on the ankles, playing for De Zerbi. We ping so many of those passes in to players with their back to goal so they can lay it off or spin that they get clattered time and again.

And Ferguson took a heck of a kicking from Andersen and company yesterday too.

He was getting very different comments on here after Tuesday night.
And he deserved them, but if we had a fully-fit squad he might not have to play every game at his age. As it is, we're seeing more and more of the good stuff. I still wish he'd cut out the overreaction to every slight contact though.

Some of our kids have played many more games because of injuries to Solly, Welbs, Fati and Mitoma than we could have anticipated…. Apart from Hinshlewood they have been inconsistent. That has got to be expected . They’re all getting better and better though. I thought Fergie has looked better last few appearances ( not Tuesday 😢)

Spot on. I was starting to worry about Buonanotte and the fact that he hadn't scored, given chances. But that has all changed and he seems to have become a completely different player who you could not leave out really. For the reason you suggest Qs.

Well said.

Lots of potential. The club seem to be managing him perfectly

It’s a great chant great - but can’t quite work out all wording

Oooo Buonano, Buonano
Fecund O Buonano
Oooo Buanano Buonano
Fecundo Buonano

At Brighton maybe but not at Rosario where he was already scoring some great goals …he’s only been getting regular no10 positions for a few months with us - the talent was never lacking but it is difficult to break into the first team especially when you have Solly out wide and Mackie in CAM but he’s had that opportunity this season.

Pretty sure it’s :

Ooooooooo…….gol de Buonano, buoano, buaono, gol de buonanooooooooo…….

LOVE IT

He was playing wide for a few games earlier in the season. With hindsight it’s clear he’s much better suited to a more central position which I guess is why we are now seeing a more consistent player.
