So by that logic, if Solly we're Argentinian you believe he would have been in the World cup winning squad?
Very close to yes. If the World Cup were next month there'd be huge calls for Solly to be involved as he is obviously one of the form players in the league and very versatile.

Yeah he probably does. He possiblly will be a better player at 28 than Solly is. Possibly. That doesn't mean he's taking his place in the team this season or any time soon. My point about the World Cup is fairly obvious - Facu wasn't there because he is miles off the Argentina team largely due to the fact he was 18 last month and had barely played any professional football.

What watch YouTube and decide an 18 year old is going to dislodge March, Mitoma, Gross, Lallana etc?

I'm not talking about potential. I've been responding to the people on here who think he's walking into the first team because Tevez says he runs like Messi and he has a nice YouTube reel. Exactly the same thing that happened with Enciso who, now we've watched him, is clearly miles off getting into the team ahead of our senior players (and who, from a few YouTube videos, you must have concluded is a lesser player than Facu).

I haven’t watched YouTube reels without taking them with a pinch of salt - I have been reading stats, looking at heat maps, looking at his form at Rosario and reading scouting reports.

Most of all, I have listened to our own manager who for the 3 rd time of saying it has quite clearly stated that Facu will important for us this season - not in 2 seasons or 3 but this season.

I trust our recruitment team and our Coach to get it right.

Playing him down by saying that he isn't Lionel Messi but might be Angel Di Maria?

I'll take that.
Yeah, think most of us could live with that comparison but don’t think he’s a particularly big gamble. We don’t just buy these guys on word of mouth and a youtube video!

Fixtures for U20 Campeonato Sudamericano here if anyone is interest in following the progress -( not sure whether it will be possible to stream it but if anyone does gets a stream …? 🙂)

Probably will be possible to stream all of the games, for those who can stand listening to South American commentators screaming for 90 minutes

Yep - as bad as the Saudis I had screaming into my ear in most of the WC matches - I muted the commentary for nearly all the WC games, it was horrendous. 🙄 I cant even get the english audio anyway half the time with a lot of ‘underground streams’ when I’m watching PL but good to still see the football - and there’s always a ton of live blogs if needed.

If he is training with the 1st team does this now mean he is not going back to Argie for the youth cup
The plan is for him to train with the first team before heading off to the U20s tournament. The club saw the benefit of allowing Alexis to take part in the Olympic qualifying tournament (and subsequently the Olympic it’s self) and the gratitude he had to the club before he returned from his loan spell with Boca Juniors and obviously are hoping for the same positive impact on Buonanotte.

Do they still charge by the letter to get a name on the back of a shirt?
