I really like what this lad can already do just by watching the videos - Can’t see him needing to be loaned out for a season to RUSG personally - what about the U21s? 🤷🏻‍♂️ he looks especially skilful when dribbling/feinting off tackles, well grounded and balanced in his movements and fast. He has a really powerful left foot too -some of those shots in the video were on target from way out of the box - an aggressive goal scoring midfielder seems a good way to build on what De Zerbi’s doing but it also looks like he could play in several positions - CF? Be interested to hear what others think of his style of play ...

honestly I'd send him straight to the championship. adjust to living in the UK, and build up that first team footy experience

If Mr Rosario President in December fucks off with all the money Brighton pay for this player, I'd argue it invalidates pretty much the whole "Chelsea are immoral for asset stripping our club" argument yes. Can't be all upset when Chelsea robs another PL team just to find it perfectly find if Brighton participates in some kind of shoddy robbery of a poor Argentinian club.
@canlison's post said that "The most common theory is that the President really wanted to push the sale through before December because it'd mean he'd get to steal more money before leaving." and "It's kind of well known here in Argentina that club presidents are generally pretty corrupt and there's a trend of big lumps of transfer fees disappearing".

From that you've somehow reached to Brighton being complicit in a robbery by buying a player from an Argentinian club? Sorry to bring reality into things but:

1) There hasn't yet been a robbery, only conjecture that it might be a possibility, because some people believe that club presidents, not this one, but other ones might have done it in the past.
2) If there is a robbery in the future, it will be against the law. You know, like robbery is. I'm not a lawyer, but it would be my guess that breaking Argentinian law would probably be a matter for the Argentinian police, not for officers of a football club on another continent.

We tried to buy him in the summer. Had that deal gone through, would we still have been complicit in any rumoured potential future crimes that may or may not happen at Rosario, or is there a time limit? Are we still at a risk of being considered morally reprehensible if an Argentinos Juniors' President steals any of the money we paid them for Ali Mac back in 2019?

Incidentally, Chelsea didn't rob us. They paid release clauses / transfer fees. It wasn't immoral, just a bit frustrating and annoying. The Amex crowd had a panto boo at them and people complained on social media. Nobody called for a policeman.

And surely no money changes hand until the transfer is approved etc

Sorry I'm not interested in having a discussion with someone pretending not to understand what I mean. Pretty pointless.

He did indeed. I took that to mean a gamble. Caicedo just isn't and wasn't a gamble.
Yes. Exactly that. Vickery didn't mean though that they were similar players. He just meant that there was more risk involved given age / experience etc.

I don't understand what you mean either. And I'm not pretending.

You're talking about us being involved in a criminal act if the Rosario president kops off with the cash. Stato correctly pointed out that Chelsea have not actually committed a criminal act in the recent ransacking of BHA.

You'll have to explain your point for us thickos.

That's a fair point. 'Warning against' is probably overstating it, but I was highlighting the difference in his assessment of Caicedo and Enciso, i.e. Caicedo was not much of a gamble, but Enciso was more of a gamble. I agree that Enciso's cameo was very encouraging. And now we have Facu. What a pool of South American talent, including Ali Mac, Sarmiento and Pervis. And not one Brazilian among them.
Too much information.

I've not said anything about being involved in some criminal act.

I've said that the bloke may well take (or steal/plunder/rob depending on what phrase you want to use) the money from their club and run away with it. Now maybe it should be criminal, but there's lots of legal ways to do it.

Think you need a history lesson ;)

That's already happened to our club. We know what it's like. You really are barking up the wrong tree.

Oh well, if you didn't mean Argentinian law was to be broken, then obviously it would be totally an obligation of Brighton & Hove Albion to take responsiblity for the accounting practices and levels of presidential control allowable within Argentinian football clubs.

Just stop it. You were just splitting hairs to avoid having to concede that my point remained. Should anybody take money from Rosario, that is a matter for Rosario, not for the organsisation who bought something from them. You overreached in attempting a point scoring analogy that just didn't stand up. Presumably because, despite choosing to spend loads of your time on a Brighton fans messageboard, you seem to have developed a weird beef with Brighton's fans.

Good point. Although you'd have thought that Leeds United would have stopped the sale of the Goldstone. After all, they had previously given us £350k for Mark Beeney, so they had a responsibility.

Ohhhh more reason to hate Leeds. Maybe this responsibility theory has some legs after all. :moo:

It wouldn't be the responsibility of the club but there is a world where the club could see it as their responsibility.

Look, everywhere at this board there's moaning about how the media, other fans etc. don't understand the suffering of poor little Brighton getting f***ed over by clubs like Chelsea. To then say "not our responsibility  " when Brighton may well be f***ing over some poor club in Argentina... well, perhaps this urge for the football world to shed some tears over the Chelsea-Brighton situation is perhaps a bit much to ask for.
You get ever weirder. Maybe time for mum to call nursey to the basement to up your levels of medication :lolol:
For the umpteenth time, whatever basement you keep your mum in, I'm not in it. If I come to England, I promise to make a visit if the queue times are ok.

I'm thinking that us poor little Brighton fans will somehow muddle through without your superior Big Brain input

Brighton are not f***ing over anyone, we are signing a player, what happens to the money after that is out of control of everyone connected to Brighton and Hove Albion. Rosario could end up with a new president who steals the money as well, again that is not in any way a reflection on Brighton, Tony Bloom, the board or fans of the club.

I'm not sure what you don't understand about that. It is a completely different scenario to the one at Chelsea where they seem to want to have everything that Brighton had, and are now looking like taking the Head of Recruitment as well, Chelsea are totally in control of that situation, in fact with the potential recruitment of Paul Winstanley that is directly on Potters head as it was mentioned in numerous reports that he was going to be given input into who he thought should get the role.

You disdain for the passion we feel for our club and especially our fan base is becoming more and more obvious and tiresome.
