The colour GREEN is illegal in URUGUAY. Anyone caught wearing green, or owning any property which is green, is taken by the police to Punto del Este, a small town about 100 miles east of Montevideo, on the 3rd Sunday of the month, where they are stoned by locals (although this is not a death sentence, and offenders are allowed to leave once sentence has been carried out).
