Wise up Frank we are not panicking because of this season, we are panicking because we have not changed a thing from last season as well.
Take Wilkins overall record and it's time he was given the boot.

BLIMEY! Ernest has your CAPS SHIFT button broken ?

REALITY CHECK - when we best Northampton people were on here like we had won the premier league title, we won 1 game at home, we were woeful for 70 minutes of that game and won largely due to Northampton losing the plot as they were by far the better side for 70 minutes, the fact the players thought we had won the FA Cup after the game was sweet and all that but extremely worrying in a way, a few seasons ago we trotted out 18 -20 wins a season at the Withdean without too much fuss.

and now we have lost 2 games people are thinking its the end and we will end up getting relegated just because they seem to have a problem with Wilkins.

The big problem seems to be a lack of motivation. The players seem to be just going through the motions and this has been the case for a couple of years. This has fed through to the fans who themselves are just going through the motions by just turning up sitting there and going home moaning. What we need is someone who motivates the players and this in turn will kick start the whole club bcak into life. At the moment the whole thing seems to be dying a slow lingering death.

And Wilkins is not the man to motivate or inspire ANYONE :angry::angry:

How many did McGhee lose in a row at the end of 2005/06 then?

Take your lithium..

Was that the season when we were in the Championship and playing against teams and players with premiership experience remind me

Yeah, but not the easiest of games though, two places where we have not won in donkey's years in fact. Surely it needs three or four more games to see how things really are. The next four games we should be putting some points on the board, if things don't look better at the end of September then it may be time to worry.

But a helluva alot of journeymen and cloggers, and a f***ing shambles against Stoke...

Far too much is made of that, we had had a really tough season and were already well relegated by then. Yes we should have performed better but there were rumblings of discontent in the boardroom, the manager's job was under threat and because of that player's contracts hadn't even started to get sorted. A low day but not the nadir that some on here suggest.

We started the following season with decent results, which suggests the dressing room wasn't lost although the terraces were and we could have won the 1st 6 by 5 clear goals and people would till have been calling for McGhee's head.

that was the only time I really took issue as we did not turn up but the facts are we were already down so the result was infact a non issue, we are now talking about whether we can stay in this division this season

infact we were 20 seconds from 3 wins out of 3 and top of the league,we won our cup match and then lost 3 of which 2 were against 2 teams who went up in 1st and 2nd place and only by 1 goal, the fact is McGhee was/is a far far better manager than Wilkins ever will be and its only people's stubborness and saving face after getting him sacked that they will not admit it on this board.

Objection my lord! This is merely conjecture and is not a fact at all.

That is probably true, BUT, McGhee by the end of his tenure here was no longer the same manager(metaphorically speaking) that kept us up in the Championship, he was jaded after player bust ups and the inability to find new players.
