It's a minor quibble but glasses are broken at the moment and having to wear them whilst wearing a mask at my seat will be pretty inconvenient. I understand the concourse ruling and have no problem with that but it does irk me that we have to wear the mask outside in the arena when we know it is not necessary too. Also the Photo ID thing really annoys me too. With CC TV, the club having all my details online, the fact that I have the ticket on my phone, I will have checked in using the track and trace app what more do they flipping well need. It's just a football game. I really hope once we reach stage 4 this garbage gets ditched as I do not want to bring my passport to every match.

Are these the cameras you are referring to (from the 'briefing' email) or are there facial recognition cameras also?

Facial recognition cameras have been used in stadia for a few years. I don't know if the Amex have them for certain, as my post was more for comedy value.

So to sum up....masks not required in the open air outside the stadium...required to get into the stadium .... but can be removed when eating or drinking ( obviously) ..and must be worn when sitting in the open air in the stadium?

I absolutely agree - the science is clear.

But to get back to seeing some live football and to take an important step towards full stadiums of mask-less fans, then I'm able to put up with it tonight.

If I had a ticket, I'd put up with it too and am happy to play the game for the clubs and fans perspective. Getting a game on is the main thing and I enjoyed watching the Swansea game last night simply because of the presence of fans which felt like a different game to watch. I'd just rather we got rid of the restrictions that aren't needed as it almost encourages people to break the ones that are. Common sense has gone out the window here along with double vaccinated people freezing their tits of in the garden until yesterday. I'll stop moaning now and bugger off to the covid forum.

Whilst no one wants to wear a mask (well a few may) I don't understand why some seem to feel a need to somehow get round the regulations. They aren't doing it for fun, its for the good of us all. We are allowed back into the grounds because of mask wearing, hand sanitising et al.

At a time where new variants are taking hold in some areas people are complaining that they have to sit with a mask of whilst INSIDE THE STADIUM, watching Albion play for the first time in god knows how long. If we actually want to beat this virus collectively we all need to grow up and take personal responsibility and just follow the guidelines and what we actually all know we are meant to do, rather than trying to find some slight contradiction or something that doesn't seem to make sense in some effort to say up yours Borris, and just enjoy the fact that we can actually see a live game , and if we keep doing this for a bit longer, we wont need top do it next season

Not sure about that given the feedback from the few games where fans have been allowed back. Also the Amex isn't Wembley where virtually all Chelsea and Leicester fans must have had medical exemptions from wearing a mask.

Just read through the club guidance for tomorrow night and noticed that face masks must be worn at all times. I am pretty sure when I first read the info before buying the tickets it said you could take them off when seated. Did they change it or did I read it wrong the first time?

But for the whole season we've had the few non-playing/coaching staff who have been permitted inside grounds for games, wearing masks whilst sitting in cavernous stands with no-one nearby.

Most games I have watched on TV have, at one time or another, included a shot of a chairman, CEO or other club administrator looking all Billy Nomates, but fully masked up.

Given that (ridiculousness), it was never going to be the case that when 7,000 fans are allowed in, the mask-wearing was suddenly going to be axed.

It's football showing it can be responsible and doing its bit, and all being well this will be the very last time we have to wear a mask inside a football stadium.

We are just getting out of the biggest pandemic the world has ever seen. The safest way to keep everyone safe is to wear a mask. Two options, wear a mask - live. Don't wear a mask - die. Why not put it that way? I note that anyone who is exempt must inform the club in advance and be given a wrist band as proof. No wrist band, wear a mask. I want to be alive and see the Albion next season, if you want to be clever and sit close to me or stand near me in the concourse and not wear a mask on principle then get the hell out of my life. Not wearing a mask is like committing murder or suicide.

I hope you are right on the last bit and don't disagree with the sentiment of the rest, football is being seen to be responsible but I won't go off on one about the double standards of that. Personal view is that I'd be pricing it up as odds on that the first game of next season won't be a full house (i.e Government restrictions not sales) and at the very least will have some level of rules and regulations on it.

Why put it what way? In order to go to the match you must wear a mask. It is not a major issue and it keeps you and others safe. Printing exempt cards is not enough, you have to prove to the club you are exempt in advance. Recovery rate is 99.9%. That's great. But why even catch the bug in the first place to see if you are one of the 99.9% or the 0.1% that dies. That 0.1% is someone, why make it you or me?

Oh, as for the ‘exempt people’. If it so deadly, then why would they even risk going to the football WITHOUT A MASK
