Well I reckon he would have done better than one GP ……

You’re dislike of FH is only matched by your love of GP ….
I don't think so, but we'll never know.
As for my "dislike of FH", it has never existed. I have never expressed (or even felt) any "dislike" for him. Quite the opposite, I've been very much "IN" all the time, even when ~80% in here weren't.

Well you’ve just gone from 70% to 80% …. From my memory NSC was very positive …..

I don't know what the exact numbers ended up with but when I saw the poll a few hours after the Nottingham game, it was more than 70% out.
NSC was not very positive in that poll, no.

After the last few results I’d have to say this is the most enthused I’ve been all season. Hopefully the improved squad availability continues for the rest of the season and who knows we may be in with a sniff of dusting off those passports again next season, fingers crossed.

Conveniently being banned for our darkest moments means he we can't challenge him on his views after the 3rd worst result in club history having been beaten by Everton the week before. So he'll take the moral high ground on this one.
I was actually more pissed off with the 5 nil we got from Bournemouth a few years back. We were really in a bad way then, I took the forest results as a very bad day for all. FH and the team have moved on as results have shown.

Yup! Which is fantastic!

Many tactical mistakes from the manager, many rookie mistakes from the players - yet 9th. Really shows the amazing ceiling in our team and staff. With the technical ability in our squad we could win the league in three seasons with barely doing a signing.

That doesn't change that I'm quite convinced the vast majority of managers in this league at present would have us on more points or at least playing better football (because we haven't really been all that good until the last few games, even when winning).

Really looking forward to the rest of this season but maybe even more so the next one, when Fabian will have a better grasp of what is impossible (playing like we did against Chelsea in the autumn or like Nottingham recently) in this league, which is a requirement if you don't want the "one of the worst managers in the league" label from me.
I think your point is fair enough, is just a different way of putting what a lot of us thought and you're obviously exaggerating to make the point.

So - "the vast majority of managers in this league at present would have us on more points or at least playing better football" interesting question....

I'm pretty sure that Sean Dyche would not have us playing better football. We're not set up for someone like him to have success. Gary O'Neil, Steve Cooper too. Then there's Russell Martin, Enzo Maresca and Kieran McKenna, probably a wash, also very inexperienced and having their first crack at the top flight. The rest of them I'll give you, I suppose there is the potential of a good premier league manager inside Ten Haag, although I'm not convinced Ange would have fared much different with us than he has at Spurs.

So he could be the worst, but so could another 7 or 8....

.... and I imagine all this was done to death last time you came up with it :lolol:

I'm a bit less sanguine. Tomorrow's a big test. A team that has been flying, but who suffered a knock back at the weekend. Our good results have come against Ipswich, Man Utd, Chelsea and Southampton, who are all in difficult moments (or difficult seasons). Hopefully the positive rebound from the Forest disaster will continue, but we are still a young team that has struggled with consistency.

Bournemouth have their own issues though. Zabarnyi's sending off and Hill's knock on Saturday have added to an already substantial list of defenders who are expected to miss this game. They already had only one defender on the bench on Saturday, a 20yr old left back who has yet to play in the EPL. They didn't bring him on. I would guess that he'll send them out to attack us. Both teams to score looks like the bet.

Can’t be many (any?) players who haven’t missed decent amounts of time this season
Off the top of my head, only Mitoma and Adingra have been available for every game (possibly Rutter, I know he was absent at the start of the season, I'm not sure whether that was due to injury or not)

Most sensible fans stayed well clear of this place after the Forest game, so weren't able to participate in polls.

It’s true, we expect too much sometimes. I guess a lot of the Fab out stuff is just born of the frustration of losing, after that has passed it’s easier to be rational. He’s a young, intelligent man, trying his upmost to get it right, you can’t knock that.
If it passes, I agree.
If it becomes a thing, it is self-indulgent and disrespectful shallow emoting.
Some idiot (OK, it was me) started a thread with a provocative title in reaction to the above.
And because I am a sensible and considered chap, I changed the thread title after the initial wave of annoyance had passed.

Very much this.

I don't think we can read too much into the Southampton game. They played poorly, with mind bogglingly bad tactics and whilst we did a thorough demolition job, it isn't a game we can get excited about. The 2nd of the Chelsea performances was pretty complete but one of the first we had all season.

It's a big week. 2 wins and it's game on. Equally, 2 losses and we are out the cup with Bournemouth 6 clear. Here's hoping the good run of form continues.

How many managers in the Premier League are green and naive enough in their ideas to see a single player score 4 goals against them, or let in 7 goals against Nottingham?
Ha ! Not many but Jurgen Klopp (who ? ) let in 7 v Villa once. He won the Premier League the following season.
