Probably working!
Being a good manager at club level does not mean you can do it at a national level. He does not have a good rep at national level! Do not forget that!

I obviously meant international level. You cannot honestly tell me that as an England supporter you are happy with capello as manager. He has NO passion. (at least not for England)

What the hell does Howe know about international football or managing star players? I'd rather have Don Howe...
Gus had no experience as a no1 before he came here and look at what happened. Experience does not guantee success! And lack of experience does not mean failure!
England need a young, fresh, passionate manager, just like us.

True. But installing a rookie at a League 1 club is slightly different to a nation ranked 4th by FIFA.

It doesn't matter who the manager is. If you have got technically inferior players with little guile and drilled with 4-4-2 and lumping it up to the big fella you will always struggle.

Well said, bring back McClown and Sven, they have shown their pedigree this season after all.

Just for the record, & I know you are trying to be ironic, but of course they are utter turd, in the same league as Cappello, (who just does not give a flying f*** & is hanging around for his pay). The last decent manager we had, & I hate to say this, was Venables, & those idiots at the FA really f***ed up with him.

Gerrard is finished at international level aswell, they need to bring in young blood tomany egos in the England set up

I 100% agree , been saying this for absolutely YEARS

however the FA simply wont get rid of the players who are there cashcows - remember the Beckham stuff with McClaren , a mix of the FA and the Media and he's back in the squad.

sadly the days of players who deserve to play for England are over, it's down to how to sell England shirts in Japan nowadays :(

According to who, he does have a reputation to keep as one of the best managers in Europe, but hey we forget that, his anything but useless, why should he have been fired after the world cup?

If an English manager had presided over that shower of shit at the world cup regardless of his record in Europe do you honestly think he would have kept his job ?.....absolutely no chance.

Its amazing he lasted after the world cup

So due to a goal keeping error against the usa that was capello fault, il admit Algeria was a bad result and we beat Slovenia.

We then got our ass kicked by a team that beat us 4-1 who are one of the best in the world, and were not, were about 10th if that.

Oh please...come on be honest, we were awful in every game regardless of the results. He should have done the decent thing and resigned.

He has basically been forced into making changes to the side, otherwise i still believe we would see the likes of Heskey being trotted out by him.

He's under the same pressure from the media to keep picking idiots like Terry, Ferdinand, Gerrard and Darren Bent. The next England manager needs to put his foot down and clear out all the tried and tested bottlejobs. I believe Capello kept his job as there was no one else lined up.

Frankly, I couldn't care less. Lampard, Capello, Rooney et al have all conspired to make me fall out of love with my national side. None of them give a shit about our national team - why should I? It's Brighton all the way for me.

Publicly warning players about their performance & future. Extremely bad man mangement; the sooner this lame duck useless "coach" leaves, the better. The FA should squirm with embarrassment every time this idiot opens his gob or when he gets another un-earned wedge in his sky rocket.

The FA & Cappello actually make me quite angry.

And I bet you are DYING for 'Arry to stroll into the job? Honestly people like you are so f***ing tedious, as bad as the people calling for Wengers head, do not have a clue about football.
