Don't think VAR were involved, for a change ?

VAR is always involved. Last night they just made any checks quickly without delaying the game. Even if we have a case that Dunk was fouled for the MOR OG they didn't spend ages reviewing it, which is preferable to what we saw against Southampton even if it went against us this time.

But this is why VAR will never really work in football, it’s too subjective. You will never get consistency.
VAR should be used for one thing only: did the whole of the ball cross all of the line? This can be done with sensors (like Hawkeye in tennis). No reason why it can't be pretty much 100% accurate.

Totally agree with you , my gripe is when a foul is so obvious that the var operator must either be not watching or heavily biased , either way he should be dragged out of the building by his pride (both of them) and never officiate in any capacity again .
