Would Fabian Hurzeler be a good replacement for RDZ?

Interesting read, thanks!

Thought this article from the same blog on FH’s tactics was a good read too:

Interesting articles on millerton.de, with detailed analysis of Hurzeler’s FCSP tactics, some of which are adaptations of de Zerbi’s own. The biggest changes are defensively, as a unit, definitely an area where BHA need to improve. Hopefully Hurzeler will bring a good balance between attack and defence. He seems to be a perfect fit for the club and was probably the number 1 candidate the whole time. Just had to wait for Chelsea to make their managerial appointment first🖕

You can’t concede in every match and expect to pick up a sufficient number of wins to reach European competitions every season. Breathless entertainment at times with de Zerbi football, but a more balanced attacking/defensive approach is probably exactly what is required for continued success. Pair Hurzeler with a reduction in injuries, with help from the new medical team, and it could be a winning recipe for next season🤞

I'm not sure what we're disagreeing on.

You said the club might not let Hürzeler bring who he wants, to which I said that would be unusual.
I said the club might not want to let him bring all the staff from St Pauli. That was my original point. I've never said he will have staff forced on him, but even that i wouldn't rule out. We are meticulous in our research across all staff. Pretty sure we might suggest he wants to take someone we regard as the best whatever coach if we think they're available.
He's a rookie coach, we'd be mad not to give him the best tools possible to be a success.
Slot for instance has taken his number two and another coach with him but I know they've advertised for at least a new set piece coach and a fitness coach.

I am sure we will suggest that Crofts stays on as First Team Coach, like we did with De Zerbi (and Potter with Bruno before).

But if we are being firm with who he can have as part of his staff, that would be unsual.

Worthing
I find this clicky thing with other clubs very odd. We’ve been hating since the word dot.
It’s new.
I’ll get used to the love.

Routine these days that newly appointed managers take a trusted backroom team with them if they can.
Crofts, knows club.
Milner, Dunky know the PL.
Gross, the German link.
Other than that, I would want people around who know the style from the get go.

I would've been happy if we'd appointed him.

Former manager, knows the players and system, speaks really well too.
Who has he managed? He’s also old enough to be FH’s father but I’d like to see him back in some form
