I’m not convinced there will be another wobble (I’m sure we’ll lose again but hopefully one loss doesn’t count as a wobble - although for some it might). But yes, if we do have a wobble there will be some who can’t cope.

I honestly feel like some people have never followed football on here before, let alone followed Brighton. It's the 10th of March, if we don't have another wobble, or have only one loss as you suggest, we'll finish 2nd. That simply isn't going to happen.

People can dream can't they 😜
And of course it will be Fab that has crushed their dreams when we don't win the Cup and come second.😂

We can in the best of worlds avoid another extended run of poor results... 2nd won't happen but we absolutely could finish top 5. Partially because we're very good and partially because the current top 5 are very wobbly themselves. Plenty teams coming from behind as well. Could easily see 7 or so teams finish within two or three points of the 4th/5th places and we have a fair chance of being one of those.

Was it really an extended run of poor results last time? If we won 4, lost 3 and drew 3 of our last 10 games we'd finish on 61 points, which would have been 7th in both of the last two seasons, and would secure a European spot.

If we lost the next 3 on the trot, the Fab OUTers would be out in force again demanding our 32 year old manager be sacked 'for being too inexperienced'. Yet we'd only have to win 3 and draw 3 of the remaining 6 to make Europe, which is nowhere near as good as the run we are currently on.

People just need to get real here. We are absolutely not going to continue on this run for the rest of the season, we absolutely will lose a couple of games on the spin at some point, and we absolutely will finish somewhere in the top 10 come the end of the season. It would be nice if the more excitable amongst us could avoid throwing their hissy fits when all this comes into play, but I expect that is too much to ask.

I meant one in a row. Lose one, win a couple, draw one, lose one - no wobble, not winning everything but good form until the
end of season.

Edit: also Arsenal are in dodgy form, so why not aim for 2nd 😉

In the history of watching the Albion, when have you ever seen us in good form for the entire season, save for a 2 month wobble in the Autumn / Winter? And in the Premier League?

People are expecting way too much from this side, it's ridiculous. I will be amazed if we get more than 62 points. And everyone should be incredibly happy if we end up with that.

62 Points and a Cup Final. Think I'll support a big club instead if that's all we can expect.
Be wanting a World Cup winner playing for us next, a chairman whose name we know and see and cushion seats.
And don't get me started on the greatest fanzone in the EPL, that'll never happen.
Heh Man United, do you need another supporter? Hold on, how much to watch you lose?
I'll probably still shed a tear IF we walk out at Wemberlee or get into Europe, even if it is the Conference League.

I have said I would consider 14th to be an acceptable place, all things considered. However I am so elated by recent form that I would say anything lower than 12th would be disappointing now. Call me entitled if you must, it is just how I feel.

It’s definitely not a coincidence since Daniel joined the first team set up we have dramatically become harder to beat and more competent in attack.
Tactically this guy is smart and Fab is listening.
Hypia also needed experienced help this time TB got his man in.
Who knows how long this run will continue Forest have kept it going why can’t we?

I think the chap that came in the new year has really helped him . I have gone from firmly out to In as others have said all about opinions and I do agree that any one that goes fab out if we lose the next 2 or 3 the men in white coats will make an appointment

I think you can probably say that about any team over the course of any league campaign. The form of Albion teams over the years has often dropped off a bit in the colder months, but we generally finish strongly when it warms up (last season is the one exception I can think of). As a result, I'm really hopeful that we can match, if not exceed, that 62 point success of 2023.

If he arrived at the beginning of January it didn't help against Everton or Forest, did it?

My abiding memory of the Goldstone was we were always shit at Christmas. We put it down to the celebrations which in those days was not an unreasonable suggestion.

Winning the last 10 will put us on 76 points, that was 4/5th last year depending on GD. Year before 3rd. Don't think we would get 2nd in that case.
I will take 4th to 6th and cup win! 🙂

Yup, would be amazing. I said before the season I thought we'd take around 55 points. 62 would be fantastic.

Yes but after 28 games last season the points tally for the top teams was higher:

2nd: 64 pts (currently 55) +9
3rd: 63 pts (currently 51) +12
4th: 55 pts (currently 49) +6
5th 53 pts (currently 47) +6

Listen to his podcast and it may inform you.
It's a great listen and, while he's clearly been brought in on a wider remit than working with the first team, I don't think it's any coincidence that there has been (in general) an upturn in results and performances.

From David Weir when he was unveiled: "In his role he will also support the wider development of coach education and formulate a programme which will ensure the highest possible level of coaching from the academy upwards, across both our men’s and women’s teams." As with a lot of things Albion, they seem to be one step ahead when it comes to future-proofing, succession planning and generally being organised.
