So if it is a scum v Albion final, we can expect 7,000 at the Withers, but how many at the Scumhurst?

My understanding is that an Academy is approved by the FA. By approved i read you pay the FA to be able to say that it is an FA Approved Academy.

I take it potless Dick Tight could not afford the £50.00 and so we miss out AGAIN, this time by not becoming part of the FA approved Academy then  :jester:

It would be like two home matches for us, after all they only got a few thousand to watch thier FA Cup replay, cant see many more than a hundred palace fans to a Youth Cup match on that basis

Rubbish - I've been to four YC finals & Palace had gates of over 20,000 for the first two. The second played at Higbury for some reason (v Aston Villa).

We also had big gates in our legs of the finals v Man U (92) and Leeds (97).

Oh yeah - and we've won this competition (twice). You wet your knickers getting into the QFs.

That's because we've never done it before. Rather like how you "wet your knickers" by getting to the Cup Final, when we'd already been there, done that.

Remember, the 2,927 figure is only those who PAID. There were perhaps another 500 or so who got in without paying.

Newcastle, Man City, Liverpool, Norwich & Sheff Wed all top half of div 2 or higher and all put to the sword on our way glory.

None of this Pig & Whistle seconds, Baa-baa invite XV and Huddersfield at home until the semi nonsense for us, dear boy. We earnt our cup run. Only Millwall have had an easier run to the final in history than you monkeys in 1990.

seconded... in the Albion's glorious run to the final every victory was a hard fought source of pride and holds its own story...

does rather overshadow the smeggy sons' efforts prior to the Donkey Derby of 1990 doesn't it...?
