Agreed - but what are the chances of there being a massive queue for buses? Is it likely that I'd be queueing for so long that going via Littlehampton is actually quicker in reality?

Its likely and they probably wont run any extra. No idea how frequent the buses are though. Might also be worth taking a train from London to Barnham changing there for Brighton, no idea how long that would take - all depends if you want to risk it for about 15 minutes.

This is what I am thinking. I will be getting the train. It's more comfortable, there are toilets and you can have a few beers

I usually just pay for my train ticket to HH and the rest is covered by the season ticket. I assume the route via Littlehampton isn't covered?

Apparently trains are running from Wivlesfield to Brighton but is there wheel chair access at either Wivlesfield or Burgess Hill Stations.

Wivelsfield no, Burgess Hill yes - it is an hourly service remember so will be very busy. Some buses running would be low floor too.

RE buses from Three Bridges - might be worth getting a Lewes bus instead, but just getting on the first available one would be better.

Just checked again, and yes there is only 1 train an hour, leaving wivlesfield at 28 minutes past the hour. Takes 15 mins.

Looking at the website there's an hourly train service running between Burgess Hill & Brighton with rail replacement bus doing the other scheduled journeys..

Couldn't have picked a better weekend
