On their main forum, they mentioned that Colchester knocked them out of the LC earlier this season.
Such a rapid decline since making the CL final last June.
Pochettino was a brilliant manager and Spurs over-achieved whilst he was in charge. Ultimately, one of their greatest strengths is also one of their greatest weaknesses = Daniel Levy. A hard-nosed negotiator when it comes to transfer fees, but unwilling to enter the market for top tier players, e.g. Man Utd get Bruno Fernandes, Spurs get Gedson Fernandes.
Llorente helped Spurs paper over the cracks last season, and helped Spurs keep going when Kane was injured and when Son was at the Asian Games. Now, without those two, they are struggling. Throw in selling Eriksen - when there was a deal to be done with replacing him with Bale - and Spurs are suddenly bereft of their 3 best offensive players and it's season over.
It reminds me of us letting Andone and Locadia go, then wondering why we're having trouble scoring. This is what happens when transfer windows go wrong.
