Ultra posh spa town …. wonder if some pubs will shut for the day?
The Leeds United were drawn as the home side.

Ipswich also drawn to play at home - means that our game v Norwich, and Ipswich v Bristol Rovers can’t be played on the same day.

Not necessarily. They're paired for league fixtures so they're not at home on the same day but exceptions have been made for cup games. Especially ones which aren't going to attract massive crowds.

Typically six ties are chosen for live TV.

The eight in bold below are more likely to be selected than us, and several others have more of a story attached to them than Norwich v Brighton.

Southampton v Swansea City
Arsenal v Manchester United
Exeter City v Oxford United
Leyton Orient v Derby County
Reading v Burnley
Aston Villa v West Ham
Norwich City v Brighton & Hove Albion
Manchester City v Salford
Millwall v Dagenham & Redbrige
Liverpool v Accrington Stanley
Bristol City v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Preston North End v Charlton Athletic
Chelsea v Morecambe
Middlesbrough v Blackburn Rovers
Bournemouth v West Bromwich Albion
Mansfield Town v Wigan Athletic
Tamworth v Tottenham
Hull City v Doncaster Rovers
Sunderland v Stoke City
Leicester City v Queens Park Rangers
Brentford v Plymouth Argyle
Coventry City v Sheffield Wednesday
Newcastle United v Bromley
Everton v Peterborough United
Wycombe Wanderers v Portsmouth
Birmingham City v Lincoln City
Leeds United v Harrogate Town
Nottingham Forest v Luton Town
Sheffield United v Cardiff City
Ipswich Town v Bristol Rovers
Fulham v Watford
Crystal Palace v Stockport County

it seems like we always play champo away in round 3. I assume this is just me being wrong after Stoke twice.

Could be a good tie for me. My wife’s best mate at uni owns a pub and her husband and son are Norwich season ticket holders so I reckon a trip is on for me.

I'd be surprised if they picked Chelsea's reserves v Morecambe, regardless of the gap. If Morecambe were at home, yes, all day long. But they're probably going to get smashed 8-0 by Nkunku and Dewsbury-Hall while Cole Palmer puts his feet up.

I wonder about Everton v Peterborough, simply as Everton are so shit there's a chance of something amusing happening.

Is it me or is “Coventry vs Sheffield Wednesday” the most standard FA Cup tie of all time? Like it’s the default setting of the cup.

London clubs biased media ….. they’ll pick the pointless to everyone else Spurs and Chelsea cricket scores.

Highly doubt it with Ipswich at home too. Suspect Ipswich v Bristol Rovers to be the Saturday and we will play the Sunday
Looks like they were both at home on the opening day of the season. There is quite a distance between them and they have different constabularies.

Even if we aren't on (UK) tv, we could still be playing away from Sat 3pm due to the FA Cup's overseas tv deal. Same reason why we played Bournemouth at 12:30 in 2019.

As usual, fans last. I'm sure the kids of Manilla, Singapore and San Diego will be desperate to see Grant Hanley trying to deal with Joshua Duffus.
