I'm guessing with the marathon going on the same day, we're probably waiting for the police to give the go ahead.

Is it possible that teams coming from t'North on the train would be mostly unaffected, whereas our transportation within the capital might be more tricky?

Only guessing.

Give them time FFS, this is the Met we are talking of. The dates of both were only announced about 9 months ago so its obviously going to be a huge surprise to them that LM is on same day as a semi.

Why do people keep saying this?

Are people really insinuating they they didn’t realise the two events clashed when they were booked months ago?

I could maybe understand the logic if it was Millwall v West Ham or any other game where they’d suddenly need to double the amount of Police, but we’re Brighton.

Well given the other game has two teams travelling from the north on two different branches (East Coast and West Coast) that should not be too problematic.

I guess the problem for our Semi is when all the Man U fans try and get on the train at East Croydon

Manu announced the details of when tickets were going on sale early in the week - why can't they at least say when tickets will be on sale? Thats the main thing for now

Manure have more of these big games in Europe and so on so maybe they are more geared up for it all

Still something like "We are planning on announcing details at thursday lunchtime" can't be too much - absolutely nothing at the moment is irritating - i'm excited!

it seems like with Man U it's more that you can apply for a ballot place rather than an actual on sale

I would guess if, picking a purely hypothetical situation, the whole thing is with the FA, then the club won't want to make a commitment it doesn't know it will be able to keep.

Surely that would have been done ages ago.
Not necessarily. They'd have to consider the teams involved and how far fans need to travel to get back after the game on a Sunday evening.

It almost certainly won't be on the Saturday. I wouldn't book any non-cancellable transport/accommodation/parking/whatever if you have restrictions on either day.

Not sure exactly but quite a few unhappy people, mainly older supporters so I guess standing issues maybe.
That would make sense as apart from immediately behind the goal on say the halfway line you don't normally get standing so fans may well have purchased tickets there and expected to be seated. I'm sure the conditions of sale will say that unless you are in the designated 'safe' standing sections.
