Apparently the finer details have been sorted by Mancunia and the game will be played at time that suits them, infront of 95% of their fans, with a ref of their choice. Var is only to work in their favour and basically we should just been happy to be their opponents.

Can see the appeal for us but this ISN’T Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday () so I’m not sure we should take it.

Although that would be fair, it does work against the teams who rarely get to Wembley and have a large fan base, but just not season ticket holders…..

The days when the ‘whole town came out’ etc…… bit idealistic I guess….

I think it would be entirely unreasonable, it would give one team an advantage. In any case United have already confirmed a rough allocation of 34k so it’s not that.

I still don’t get why, particularly for a semi final, it’s not possible to allocate 40 - 45k tickets per team in a stadium that is meant to hold 90k. I get for the final there are different allocations but for the semi final??

Is there a word missing? The first parts reads that you do not think Brighton and Man Utd should get the same allocation (hence all the replies that you’re getting), but I don’t think that’s what you mean.

Sponsors, FA hangers-on, staff allocations etc…….less for the semis than the final but still a big chunky number

Thanks but no………simply suggesting (or asking even) that a club with an evidently much larger ground/support might benefit from some FA formula that gets them more tickets. I don’t know, but wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case. Quite used to rabid replies on discussion points from the easily offended

I don’t think there is anything set in place. I think an uneven split only comes up if one team is at risk of not selling all their tickets. I also think this is the right approach.

The FA cup semi final is played at neutral venue and generally tickets allocated on a 50/50 split (not precisely but within reason). Surely its to give no team any advantage. BTW, weren't we drawn 1st so therefore we get home dressing room at wembley?

Yes they might benefit from that. We might benefit from Man U getting no tickets at all. But surely its not right for either team to benefit, it should be fair.

Redraw the semis

We will play Sheffield United at Wembley on the Saturday 50/50 allocation

City and United can both have a 50/50 at Stockport or Oldham which puts the marathon “issue” to bed

Plus Club Wembley members I believe automatically get a ticket which is most of the middle tier.
