You've got previous for this, haven't you? :lolol:

I'm really confused. It wasn't a serious reply?

Anyway here's some actual facts.

Fourth round: ITV 1st and 4th choice, ESPN 2nd, 3rd and 5th choice

Those known Arsenal fans who are season ticket holders at the Amex will be having fun, if it is them who get through of course.

Strange that loads of people would rather it be Arsenal "because their a big club."

I have just sorted through my old programmes over Christmas and saw the following fixures:-

Palace v BHA - Sat 5 April 1980 at 3pm
BHA v Bristol City - Monday 7 April 1980 at 3pm
BHA v Wolves - Tuesday 8 April 1980 at 7.45pm

They were lazy gits in those days.

 teams do play games that close together sometimes though.

Hard to select the five from this lot as they all could potentially be picked:
Norwich City v Luton Town (non league against top flight)
West Ham United or Manchester United v Fulham or Blackpool (possible all premier league game or against a recent top flight side doing fairly well in the league below)
Millwall v Aston Villa (chance of an upset)
Brighton & Hove Albion v Swansea City or Arsenal
Southend United or Brentford v Chelsea (Chelsea away to lower league side)
Reading v Sheffield United (chance of an upset)
Crystal Palace or Stoke City v Manchester City (possible all top flight game and potential for Man City to lose against either side that progresses)
Macclesfield Town v Wigan Athletic or AFC Bournemouth (non league side and possibly against top flight side)

Fourth round: ITV 1st and 4th choice, ESPN 2nd, 3rd and 5th choice;

I think TV will go...

1st - palace/stoke v man city
2nd - Man Utd v Fulham/Blackpool
3rd - Norwich v Luton
4th - Southend/brentford v Chelsea
5th - Brighton v arsenal/swans

Agreed about the history but I can't exactly say I'll be devastated if Swansea win. Both play great football and it will be an incredibly tough test.

Yeah I get that bit. And I agree with the points made. But Swansea are NOT Arsenal.

Hypothetically speaking, if you could choose now by waving your magical football wand which has mysteriously appeared in your hand for the sake of this discussion, to play Arsenal or Swansea, would you seriously consider choosing Swansea?

Perhaps they'll get Arsenal supporting Brighton boys the Rizzle Kicks to Get Down With The Trumpets v Fatboy Slim before the match (if it is Arsenal).

Will the seats be in place in the corners in time for this game?

I'm not too bothered, Arsenal would be good to show them what supporting a team in a modern stadium should be like or Swansea to see how our game is compared to theirs. I'm sure a certain builder from Swansea will be hoping they win the replay natterjack

Briiliant draw:

Full House
Both like to play football
Winnable especially if Arsenal do their usual and play reserves against lower opposition.
No disgrace to lose to either

Only downside is the price Arsenal may insist on. Hope it is NOT on TV or rather kick off changed..

Swansea-Superb success story with proper fans, will take the game very seriously
Arsenal-Might not field their strongest side due to facing Chelsea a week before and facing Liverpool in 4, potentially 3 days time.

The other factor to throw in is that the Amex has top notch tv facilities including the new studio which makes it an attractive venue for broadcasters.

would that put it on the Monday?

I guess. For the 3rd round it was... With KO times...

1st - ITV sat 5.15pm
2nd - ESPN sun 4.15pm
3rd - ESPN sun 1.30pm
4th - ITV sat 12.30pm
5th - ESPN mon 7.45pm

In the 5th round ITV get 1st and 3rd picks so it changes again.

Someone has just said arsenal v Liverpool in the league is on the Wednesday after... So maybe that will mean it def won't be Monday (5th pick)... Which is great news if on TV. (That's if arsenal get past Swansea)
