FA Cup Final

My beloved proposed to me on Valentine's Day with a bunch of 12 red roses. We've booked the wedding for Cup Final day and I have had a load of negative comments from work colleagues. But I can't remember the last time I watched a cup final with any enthusiasm - when we picked the date I just thought "that's after the end of our season so that will be OK"

Am I alone in thinking the final has lost its magic?

The competition itself has not, the final possibly has.

Liverpool vs Chelsea anyone? :nono:

Think I've only enjoyed one Cardiff FA Cup Final, when Liverpool came from behind to beat Arsenal 2-1.

My best final other than ours would have to be when Coventry won it 3-2, that was a cracker.

Cup Final always had a quiet dignity.
It didn't need all the "super-bowel" hype of flame-throwers, ticker-tape, smoke machines, fire-works and all sorts of other bollocks.

Sometimes, less is more...

I always use to look forward to watching the cup final but even tho have still watch them i don't really care what happns, i remeber the 2004 one and that i was more excited about getting a play-off ticket than mark mccammon playing in the cup final!
