Can anyone tell me what the likely date of the 4th round vs sheffield will be on and ticketing sales dates by any chance? presumably if on a weekend they would give a large allocation?

cheers.

Train is £160 return for 1 adult and 1 child.
That's steep isn't it.
It is. Unfortunately that's normal on that journey.

My partner's father was born in Sheffield and grew up a Wednesday fan before moving to Australia as a child. They were over at Xmas and thought it would be a nice present to get the family tickets for Wednesday v Cardiff in the cup. £10 each - bargain. A day return from London was £96 each. £424 for 4 people to see two Championship teams play their reserve sides in a half-empty stadium. Absolutely and utterly ridiculous pricing.

Please tell me - if you are an enthusiast of ‘gamification’ do you then get called a gammon, or is there another wank-word description? Asking for a friend. :drink:
I think you just get called someone who's spent far too long working in office type environments and now needs alcohol fuelled trips to Yorkshire at the wrong end of January to relieve the unexceptional and futile grind of the 9-5.

That does look a bit pricey. I managed to get a return for me and my daughter from Bedford to Sheffield for a total of £30. Admittedly we’re already partway there, but a return to Brighton for us isn't anywhere near the difference of £130!

I just need to make sure we get match tickets in the 2pm bun fight now.

Tons left there'll be no hassle

For students of ticket rushes, about 400 sold in the last few minutes but still around 850 on sale

No bunfight, not even a queue

So we’ve sold 1150 of a potential maximum 5800 so far - so 20% (give or take) of the total allocation.

If the club actually released a brief or article to let people know tickets were actually on sale and available this morning then that would have helped the numbers, yet for some unbeknown reason this hasn’t happened.

EDIT - there was an article released this morning. No mention at all on Twitter or any of the clubs social media platforms.

Three of us going and managed to get reduced fares with rail cards for £198 (£66 each return). Kings Cross to Doncaster then Sheffield, return same way. Each journey around 2 hours 15 minutes. At least no buggering about on replacement buses. :drink:
