Chelsea at Withdean would be amazing, Mourinho the special one, not in bloody Sussex you aren't.

Agreed, though perhaps more amusing than amazing.

He'd play his third team, and we'd wipe the floor with them.Mind you 'we'd do that to whatever team he puts out.

.........but it will be some manque lower league northern team, and we can,as they say, concentrate on the league.

just think wombat, if we did draw Chelsea the whole country would want us to beat them, we could become the most popular team in England, for a few hours at least.

Hang on!

I thought we were the most popular team in England!

For confirmation I asked Mrs Wombat, and she said "of course, dear."

...nice to hear Mrs Wombat agrees. Sorry to burst your bubble but I think you may find that we are only the most popular team in Sussex, and also places where exiles like myself have dared to roam (granted we have significant fan clubs in places like Doncaster and Wrexham for our past deeds).

Arsenal at Highbury.

Haven't been there to see Brighton play, and this season is the LAST chance to do so.

Definitely need an away game, considering how shite the atmosphere is at Withdean, even with the extra seats.

Wouldn't mind a trip to Burton/Burscough OR Nuneaton/Histon, depending who gets through from second round. Tickets will be limited admittedly, but would make for great entertainment, whatever happens - considering our record against non-league opposition in the FA Cup recently.

Still whoever it is, let's enjoy it and who knows, maybe its our turn this year for a cup run!!

Innit, that would be the best draw.

One of the non league clubs still in the competition would be good. TV cameras crowded round the gallant part-timers as they await the biggest day in the history of their club. The chance to come up against the millionaires of Chelsea, battle at Old Trafford, play host to Arsenal, the dreams and thoughts of what could be.

Number 32. Brighton & Hove Albion.

Will play...Number 86, Histon.

Cue looks of utter despair on those once eager faces. I remember when Canvey Island reached the 3rd round a couple of years ago and drew Burnley away. They looked absolutely gutted at the draw but still had to try and put on a brave face for the cameras.

Either that scenario or we get Sunderland away and actually have a chance of knocking out a top flight club for the first time since 89/90.

Why not? We always take over the joint, we've won on our last two visits there, and they might even give us a terrace. Or has that gone now?
