Max getting booed. I expect Christian will be along in a bit to give everyone a history lesson about Red Bull as a team.

Here’s what the ever-the-snide had to say post race.

Mad Max, I don’t know what happened there, I do you deliberately slammed on your brakes

I decided to allow the driver to pass by weaving down the middle of the track, braking hard and moving to narrow the gap they were going to pass on…

Joking aside, he showed what he was planning the second time, he wanted to slow the driving down in a drs, then as they pass nail the throttle to immediately repass. They actually going to need to invent new rules for this prick.

I’d have voted for them both if I could - please don’t make F1 sterile - I love a bit of aggro in the racing.

I love hard racing that doesn’t involve taking drivers out to win titles. It tarnished Prost, Senna, Schumacher’s titles they won because they took rivals out. That’s not hard racing, it’s cheating.

So for parity, does he win it every week then?

I agree. We need a new winner next season, Russell or even Norris but never MV; he is pure filth.

With both title rivals tied on points going into the last race for the first time since 1974 - surely the right result for F1 tonight?

I can't wait for next week, but why not have a new world champion this year, Merc have dominated it for too long, we would not want it in football so why would we in F1?

Verstappen has been summoned to the stewards regarding the collision

Slapped wrists or further penalty?

Should be a further penalty. Poor from Verstappen all round. Brake checking Hamilton was inexcusable. Taking places off the track (twice) was inexcusable. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he punts Hamilton off at Yas Marina to win on countback.

Slapped wrists or further penalty?

The consensus amongst the commentators appear to be that it was due to mis-communication between the race director and Mercedes - even TW is pulling back on the accusations - we need to wait for the stewards decision, they have all the telemetry.
