Yeh, so even Hamilton is admitting that the product is s*** at the moment.

There have been a few good races this season, but corporate self interest is threatening to drag the whole sport down with it

The midfield is really competitive but Hamilton is a class apart, as is Max arguably. Bottas is good and in the best car but nowhere near Hamilton. Hence the top 3 is a given barring mishaps and engine problems.

Good as the midfield battle is it’s so far off the top three that it’s just incidental. Hopefully the concord agreement will mean closer racing next year

You're right, midfield battle is pretty good. Quite enjoying Alpha Tauri racing well. At various points, different cars have had a good race, Renault's turn last week. Racing Point before that, MacLaren before that.

Predicting third in the constructors is the most interesting thing to do this season. Could be any one of 4

It's nice to see McLaren back at the races and with an English driver.

I know f1 Is the 'pinnacle' of motorsport, but its not difficult to see why historic racing is so popular . . . . Sitting with a beer in the outside paddock watching 60's 70's cars drifting up Eu ROuge takes some beating.

Watch this . . . Better than a season of F1

Vettel at Ferrari reminds me of Messi at Barca - a bitter and unsuccessful final year on the cards.

Starting to feel sorry for Bottas, pipped to pole again by 1/10 th of a second by Hamilton. Must be soul destroying to be so close and sometimes in front during practice and qualifying but just falling short nearly every time. His times are much closer to Hamilton’s than nearly all the other driver pairs and he is just being blown away by the end of most races. Shame we can’t see Max in the same car as Lewis. Alonso is back next year driving for Renault, they have improved this year, hopefully they can close the gap to the Mercs and give us more competitive racing next year.

At least the midfield battle is keeping it interesting. McLaren, Renault, Racing Point and Gasly in the Alpha Tauri are all mixing it up.

Still wondering if vettel will actually see out the season with Ferrari, yes the car is clearly crap but he’s being consistently outperformed by Leclerc and the relationship with the team just looks like its broken down.

The feeder categories are also providing some great racing as both the F2 and F3 races were really good today.

What a start.
Tremendous stuff showing Bottas for the average driver he is

Except he’s not, Hamilton is on a different level and it has done Bottas head in

Hamilton about to get a completely OTT penalty for pitting when the pit lane was closed is my prediction. The fact that a safety car has closed the gap to nothing will make it even more draconian
