Swearing doesn't really bother me a football however, most of the sweariest people I know are poor and very common. As I said don't mind the swearing per se it's just that when you hear vulgar language you are likely to be near a ghastly, under educated poor person or maybe a foreign person.

I have absolutely no problem with anyone expessing themselves for good reason, but when i am with my wife (or not even!) and you hear "chavs" swearing literally every other word, in the streets etc because they think it makes them sound hard, i do just want to batter them.

I also can't understand why some on here insist on starting a thread with strong swear words in the title, just ignorant in my opinion, or maybe just keyboard CHAVS !! :lolol:

Some real big mother f:censored:ker yesterday, gave a guy sitting near to me a rightl bol:censored:king for swearing to much.
What a w:censored:ker I thought, its a f:censored:king football match not a c:censored:ting mothers meeting!

But does he have a point?
Or was he just a being a big sh:censored:t-bag

This was not in the 'family stand' by the way.

There is a guy that sits in front of me in the south stand and every other word is c--t. If i was there with my wife or a kid i would put his teeth in.
There is nothing wrong with having a swear up or using that word on here for a laugh, we have all done it, but to keep shouting in out really loud in front of women and kids is not on. The thing is the guy is a total bell end and i hope he reads this.

Total :tosser:

I disagree, using strong swear words on here are just as bad, females and kids alike use this board.

My wife and my grandson (13) read the posts on here, so it's only the same as you being in the South Stand with your wife or a kid.

I except kids hear it all at school etc, but to use it on here for no real reason is just ignorant in my opinion, in all fairness to this thread starter, he has used * to blank out the whole word, which, in my opinion is alot better, maybe i am just old fashioned? :p

I hope so, I didn't want to offend anybody or sound like a chav. I was trying to be ironic, but perhaps it was in bad taste when kids etc do use this site. Apologies to those offended.

Wan..... no i will resist. lol

Some bloke moaned at a few of us for swearing at Wycombe in December. It wasn't anything serious, but I replied with "If you don't like Swearing, you really shouldn't come to Football".

He then told me to refer to my programme (Didn't even have one) to read the RULES AND REGULATIONS about swearing.

Oh, the bloke who told us to read the Rules and Reg's was also standing up....Delicious irony.

I'd bet my life, he posts on here.

Swearing is not big or clever - but watching the Albion at times has me using some colourful language at times and I'm big enough to admit that's wrong wherever you are in the stadium. I was at the back of G block yesterday and thought the big bloke at the back went a bit over the top with his self righteousness and seemed to have a problem with the two blokes standing near him for other reasons than the expletives they were coming out with. There was a lot of frustration yesterday at yet another home game which we should have got something out of and poor decisions from the officials.

If you have paid for and chosen to sit in the Family Stand then it is perfectly reasonable to expect others around you to tone down their language HOWEVER around the rest of the ground it is foolish to expect everyone to behave similarly. For many of us going to the football is a place to let off steam and behave without having to watch yourself as you might during the week at work, or around the mother in law at home.

There are always going to be people who take it too far and make themselves look like morons but you just have to accept that it's part of the game, you can't go forbidding them from expressing themselves. There has been enough fun taken out of being in the crowd as it is what with there being no roof, not being allowed a beer, being forbidden to stand up etc.

If you don't like it, sit somewhere else, don't play the concerned citizen and spoil someone else's enjoyment of the game.

Apart from anything else a bit of creative swearing can often be very funny and a rallying cry for a quiet crowd
