If it's any help I left my passport in a hotel safe this morning when I checked out. Ended up going back 4 hours later when I remembered, but I found it still in the safe when I opened the door. Have you tried looking in there?

Should I travel to France (my last holiday) and check in the safe there?
Did you not check in your safe for me?

If you got back into the country, then the only way it could be lost
is if you lost it between the airport and getting home.

Getting someone else to look for it with a fresh pair of eyes is a good idea, especially if they're birds coz they can tidy up a bit while they're at it and then cook you
some tea after.

All good points. Plus, if they're FIT, then watching them keep bending down to search, will be FUN, even if they don't find it.

And then, when they don't find it, you can burst into tears and let them come over all motherly like.............

If you have booked flights with BA you (or your grandad?) would have needed to input your passport number to be able to book the flight (assuming you did it online but I guess they'd still ask if you booked another way), so does that ring any bells as to whether you got the passport out to get the number and maybe just chucked it on the side by the pc?

Your the second person to mention that. Honest answer is that I can't remember. My Grandad booked the tickets over 9 months ago. I can't remember giving him a passport number (let alone my passport).

We are going to Canada, and the other person mentioned for such a long flight, the chances are passport numbers had to be entered.

BUT, I need to ask whether he booked it direct through BA, or whether it was through a third party (who may not ask for the same details).

So frustrating, and incredibly annoyed at myself.

I was only concerned with finding my passport in the safe. I didn't check for yours. Sorry.
