This is good news. The extra cash flow from these new seats could create enough money for an extra signing or loan player.

how much extra money do we need? We are awash with cash!!!

Dave I imagine youve been following the Albion for ages. You know the buckets and begging letters will be out again this season for whatever reason - its what Brigton do and the board knows it works

Its probably more complicated than most think. They also have to build turnstiles and put in extra facilities like toilets.

Yep.

Segregation has to be considered for the away fans moving to the other end of the ground!

6 months is a long time, especially when you consider the work was supposed to be completed in the close-season, i.e. about half the time the club are predicting now...

As said above, new turnstiles, changing rooms and the seats will be done in the 6 months.

Anyway at last the atmosphere problems at Withdean are solved. The away fans will be next to the singing sections!

I wonder if the existing away seats will be usable for home fans straight away in the middle of October when the west (new away) stand is open? If so, then the capacity of the stadium rises significantly, by 1,000. If not and it becomes a building site (presumably the more likely explanation) then we will only get a 7,300 capacity Withdean for a few months to January.

Looks like the first away fans who will "Christen" the new stand will be Cardiff? Oct 15th?

Can TLB (or anyone) say they will 100 per cent fill it with 1,000?

And can TLB give us assurances we won't have to rebuild it straight away? :lolol:

There are more seats going between the current away supporters and v block, right? Does this mean the stands will be straightened (parallel to the goal line)? If not, we'll have a very uneven looking stand in place!

Should help the atmosphere by having the away end nearer to the "singing" section.

There's no question of that - if they're behind the running track at that end they're even further away from the pitch (and the rest of us) than the East stand!

More away fans singing the praises of Withdean!

Interesting plans.

I'm suprised that the West Stand doesn't follow the curve of the running track though. I guess it is easier, and therefore cheaper, making it straight across the back. Almost like how Stamford Bridge used to be really!!

from that it looks as though the new away end will be built into the bank behind the goal

i take it that big black thing is the new changing rooms then?
