yes it said the club were very confident. some palms have probably been suitably greased

they must have had an indicative response from the planning dept already subject to committee - and lets face it which councillors in their right minds are going to risk the wrath of up to 30k voters by declining it - even the Greens have realised that.

Saints Programme - Ground Expansion Plans

Saints programme had, “We are aiming to complete the east upper and lower south corners in the 2012 close season and available for use at the start of the 2012-2013 season (subject to success of our planning permission). The final stage will be to fill in the North Stand corners, which, if ticket sales are going well, will be completed in the 2013 close season and available for use at the start of the 2013-14 season, which will then bring our capacity up to 30,750.”

.......and that will allow a change in the conditions from:
No more than 22,500 persons
To:
no more than 30,500 persons

wouldn't they only need planning permission if, say, they were to construct a metaphorical lean to that would make the stadium take up more space?

the amex is unfinished. technically. why would they need planning permission again to finish the stadium?

i didn't think people needed planning permission unless they were extending the building design.

Basically our ground had planning constraints when permission was initially granted, one of those being the capacity of the ground. This would be because any Transport Assessments would have been based on 22500 supporters and not 30750.

don't think the club need permission to put the seats in, they just need permission to have more than 22.5K fans in the ground. 2nd tier east upper will make big difference to noise levels in the ground. bring it in!
