last time I went up there, whilst Beardsley was player/coach. The stewards were unnecessary picky and aggressive..................

though it was a long and as I recall a good day out, with a good stop at Darlington for some very early and cheap beers

Ah yes, the joys of Hogans.

I was in there last month, a pint of beer is now £1.30, however a double G&T was only £1.50.

Inflation.

Didn't we get 2 lagers for 85p during their happy hour (this for any one else was about 9.30 am)

Don't think i've ever seen a pre-match warning specifically asking for no standing!???

You're lucky. We frequently get letters from the team we are playing at sent out with our away tickets asking us to be nice, sit down and observe the ground regulations.

Southampton last season even went so far as to making Leeds send us out a letter with each ticket telling us to sit down and then hand out flyers at the turnstile telling us we are naughty people if we dare to lift our derriere from their red plastic seats.

It was worth paying the 90p a pint the day that Guppy got punched and we watched him sail across the table and land in a heap on the floor!

Oh happy days!

We also new it was an alcoholics paradise when we went in there at 9.30am and they were just doing the meat raffle! At 9.30am, god nows if some of the regulars aever leave the place!

Oh well its via York this year and not Darlington...shame

The great occasion when we walked in at 9.30 am, with the place heaving with punters and the barmaid, dared to say it was "closed".

4 years ago the stewards were ok as far as I remember. I suppose the fans could actually sit down?
No? Ok then.

Oh FFS, a Carlisle suporting mate of mine went earlier in season, and said they were fine with standing, so let's hope it's the same tomorow.

I went there in the late 90's for a game, have to say that there was no problem with anything, would probably rank in my top ten for friendly away games.

I think that was the same game I went to, can't remember much about the game itself, most probably ended 0-0.
