Id like Australia to win it if England didnt, but virtually no chance of. But id also want new zealand to do well 2.
But in the final if england was to make it id love it to be vs Germany as i have a lot of German friends.

Where's the option for "When England go out I won't give a shit about the rest of the World Cup and will most likely not even watch any more games" ?

Greece followed by whoever catches my eye. Probably Argentina, Holland or Spain.

Doubt I'll be majorly bothered if England go out. If it wasn't for my dads complete utter hatred of the England team I doubt I'd care how England did.

You won't care much if England win then?

It's a difficult one as part of me would like to see a perceived weaker team who've never won it before come out on top BUT then I reckon I'd just be depressed, as I was after Euro 2004, that England had managed to fail when a team who really shouldn't be better than them had managed to go all the way.

But then I certainly don't want to see France win it, couldn't bear it if the Germans achieved glory, wouldn't be happy with Italy holding it and as much as they're always great to watch I wouldn't be entirely happy if Brazil won it AGAIN either.

So really that just leaves the Netherlands and Spain, both perennial underachievers despite being factories of FLAIR. EXCEPT of course that Spain HAVE actually won something now so that would make a World Cup win less emotional than if it was their first international trophy since the dawn of time.

The Netherlands is a good shout BUT there is always going to be a niggle that they're not actually SIGNIFICANTLY better than England (as Brazil and Spain undoubtedly are) so there's the risk of disappointment again.

I'm almost tempted to say Argentina just because they ARE a very talented team full of real skilled heroes HOWEVER they've had a piss poor run up to the tournament and their manager is a total wreck which would normally make me love them more EXCEPT that of course that same manager has already ROBBED England on his way to a World Cup win and so it's difficult to wish him success.

So with all this in mind I'm swaying towards MEXICO, who despite being ranked lower than England, I still feel shouldn't be viewed as significantly weaker than us OR the Ivory Coast who I have similar feelings for. Both teams have some very good players AND have never achieved any major success.

It's either one of them or Serbia who for some unexplainable reason I have a soft spot for

Supporting a team that has Gerrard, Terry, Lampard, Carragher & Rob Green in it..

Club before Country, roll on next season. :drink:

I'm sure I'll get into it more and more as the tournament progresses, I just somehow find the England team quite boring to watch.

Have the likes of Zamora, Crouch, King, Milner, Hart, Johnson playing and my view would certainly change:clap2:

Paraguay, i got them in a project for the 2002 world cup. He's retired now but Jose Chilevert... the FLAIREST goalie going. Fact.
