OK I'll admit it, when I get hammered I do enjoy partaking in KARAOKE.

However, I've learnt the hard way that your fave songs don't always make good karaoke tracks - last year I literally CLEARED the dance floor by belting out "I wanna be adored" by Stone Roses. A classic track for sure but a) was f***ing ruined by me and b) not exactly likely to rouse the rest of the punters on the dance floor.

In fact, this is fat Stoke twat, Robbie Williams' raison d'etre. Plump talentless fuckwitt he may be, but without him we wouldn't have "LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU" which is a tremendous karaoke track to anyone with half a singing voice and a bit of cockiness and energy. Oddly enough, features that sum up the porky prick himself.

However my choice of karaoke track is always CLUB TROPICANA by Wham. Easy on the ears to almost everyone, I know the words almost off by heart and easy to be confident belting that one out, ideally with a partner.

So NSC, what karaoke tracks do YOU like to listen to or sing to?

When enough alcohol has passed my lips, I have been known, more than once to take the mic and do Wonderwall

"What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong is a personal favourite of mine for Karaoke, although I do not partake very often (less than once a year). If you can imitate the deep voice, then you can get away with not being a professional singer. It is a song that can be sung loudly without completely murdering it.

Try it...

Ooh now heres a question. My Favourite and probably my best is Mustang Sally closely followed by Through The Barricades by Spandau Ballet. Others that I do quite often are

Runaway Train - Soul Asylum
Babe - Take That
Patience - Take That
White Wedding - Billy Idol
Angels - Robbie Williams
You remind Me - Nickelback

On special occasions I have performed

Can I Play With Madness - Iron Maiden
Ebeneezer Goode - The Shamen.

Karaoke, my favourite passtime!!

I normally end up doing Wichita Lineman

At a works do a few years ago we went karaokaing and I thought my impressive rendition of Eyerbody's Talking might have earned me some brownie points with one of the girls from work but it turns out quality singing didn't turn her on as she'd never leave her boyfriend because

*drum roll*

he sung like a horse

I hate Karaoke with a passion, I swear it's Japan's revenge for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Filipinos are quite obsessed with it to the point it's a national pass time. It's virtually impossible to find a bar without a Karaoke machine and the real tragedy is that most of them can't carry a tune in a bucket. I was shocked to be awoken one Sunday morning by some hideous caterwauling at 6AM. I thought we were staying near a seriously badly attended mosque only to find that it was some demented midget trying sing !

It should be illegal !!!
