To sync the songs in each stand we need some sort of count in maybe "North" South" "East" "West" for sussex by the sea. Then 5, 4, 3, 2,1, "Gus Poyet Blue and White Army"
Surely if we can count it in we could actually lift all four roofs at once.

I can remember Stoke using a similar tactic. A section would make a 'whoop', this would be the signal for the whole crowd to start 'Delilah'. It works.

Interesting, but you would have to be so careful not to make any noises that could be offending to anyone of sensitive Britain nowadays.

"North stand brighton boys" is the most tinpot chant ever, glad we only heard it once last night it seems to be fading out and the quicker the better

Totally - It was alright as a bit of a laugh for the first few games LAST season but soon got tiresome. It's cringeworthy now. I like 'Go Left' but didn't hear it last night - sounds good now more people are joining in.

North was pretty good, South West sounded good again, ask the way from upper east-North!
Upper West North was a bit disappointing.

There were only about 5 of us singing in the north end of the upper-east. very occasionally the rest of the stand seemed to join in

There are so many dads with their kids but they were silent. When i was 8 years old the singing bit was one if the best bits of football, gutted.
fortunately the quality of football was excellent so those of us inclined, were motivated to pipe-up.

I'm moving to the North-West corner for the reason that there'll be better atmosphere, it's alright where I sit at the moment to be fair though.

All those on here saying the noise from the north was shite , why dont you put a shift in , and then we can all keep quiet and judge how you do...and i bet its total crap because those on here that moan about it usually are the type that moan just for the hell of it....Keyboard warriors.....sad acts....

It seems to me that the critism of our fans may be something to do with the acoustics, which doesn't seem brilliant. In the south stand yesterday a mate said that the Leeds fans were very noisy, but to be honest, you only heard them a few times from the north.

Btw. As great as our performances are at the moment, I know it's stating the obvious, but we really do need to start winning the occasional game or we are going to be lucky to remain in mid table....after today, it's all starting to tighten up between top and bottom - 8 points....I wonder if the Peterborough game is a must win game.

From the WSU the Leeds fans were very loud when they did sing. For some reason the North Stand can't sing with the same volume. Just cannot understand why 2000 away fans can be so much louder. Any ideas?

2000 of the away fans singing in unison sounds louder because not everyone sings in their respective home stand or you get 2 sets of fans (left side , right side) vying to take control

In that case if all the cardboard cutouts inbetween joined in instead of moaning then it woulf be even louder for our deaf friends ......

That would be down to the fact that the microphones for TV are at pitch level.

And the fact that the TV company can have the effects as loud or as quiet as they want. Sounds like the sound balance wasn't quite right - it doesn't necessarily reflect the atmosphere in the ground.

Trying to get any type of singing going in East Upper is like trying to resurrect the dead...
Don't get me wrong, there are pockets of fans that make a great effort.
BUT
most of the people around me can be divided into two types -

Those that look like they're sitting in front of the telly watching a drama.
Those that sit motionless & emotionless; really ought to be constantly checked for a pulse.

Real shame... :(

And I don't get the parents that don't encourage their kids to sing.... :nono:
