Jacob Peake was a scholar for two years, being released in the summer of 2013. After a trial at Crawley he played for Lewes, Worthing and Shoreham and ended last season at Horsham.
I have no idea if this is he, though.

Do you not take ex Brighton player to mean he played either in the first team or possibly reserves not schoolboys, I certainly do. He could have played for either but I do not recognise him.

That'll be this fella then. A subsequent career at Shoreham & Horsham doesn't necessarily suggest the club got it wrong. No offence, if you're reading this, Mr Peake

I do remember a J Peake playing for The Albion during the Gillingham days.

I remember him. We signed him for a few quid and he was supposed to be promising player for the future. The reality was a chunky bloke who rarely seemed to play.

Didn't we sign Peake for something in the region of £250k from Rochdale..a Jimmy Case purchase....at a time when we had no finances and were going down the swanny fast...

Yes he was a Case signing in the last Goldstone season. He scored one incredible goal at the Goldstone but didn't do anything else. Just typing this also brings back memories of Ashley Neal, shudder
Yes, I saw this last night too. I even spent about ten minutes watching the programme to see who it was - that's ten minutes of my life I won't get back!
So, it was Jason/Jake/Jacob Peake, was it? - or one of them......... Sigh, I wish I'd never seen the flier!
