Superb first half that. You'd think we were Man City on that showing.

Everton on the other hand have all the hallmarks of a team who have given up on the manager. Hopefully that's not famous last words but they look appalling. Rafa gone by tomorrow morning if they serve up another 45 minutes of that.

We're ****ing brilliant!
Great first half. Everyone has played really well. Could do with another goal to kill the game off.

Justice imho and this is why.

In the first 100+ years of pro football, that was never a penalty.

Barely a touch, watch the Everton player from start to finish, he had no intention of playing the ball. His trajectory was purely set to be touched by Mwepu. Then the grown man, an athlete, finished it off with the gravity whore flourish.

In any other era, the Everton player’s only thoughts would’ve been to create an opening, to stay on his feet and he would’ve done.

I’m consistent on this, Connolly’s diving didn’t enamour me one bit.

Probably the worst thing about the modern game.

All of this may be true but it doesn’t excuse the challenge. Their player was going nowhere . Mwepu gave the refereeing army a decision to make . And for what ? Just like arsenal’s Gabriel yesterday, it was naive and stupid decision making. Ah well , we got away with it . I hope Mwepu gets a ticking off from Potter though.
Other than that - superb performance from Albion .

Whisper it but we look a class side and we still have Lamptey and Welbeck to come on

Great first half. Bit shaky at the back occasionally but swift and inventive going forward. Got unlucky then lucky with the pen. More of the same second half, hopefully.

Really good first half performance from us, Everton have been poor but take nothing at all away from how well we've played.

More of the same please.

Agree. That said, completely unnecessary from Mwepu. He is nowhere near the ball to go for a shoulder charge. He can't be doing that again. Everton are desperate and were gonna try anything. Particularly that Gordon. For all the talk about oversea players, he dives and couldn't look anymore like a scouser if he tried.

Reports of coming back from his last game with an ice pack on his knee and it being swollen and him hobbling. Posted on here. Not played since.

We look, not for the first time, like a proper "we belong here" Premier League football team.

I’d say we look like a top 10 team…so far

All about game management now. Get Biss on the ball more, make the right subs, slow the play down and we walk this. Carry on at this pace and they might get back into it.
