True but I get the impression CH gives Knocky a long leash due to his emotional nature. I expect a line is/will be drawn when it has a detrimental effect on the team.

Yeah...would be interesting to be a fly on the wall when they speak about it, and to see what CH does next. Father/son type discussion I’d guess, a bollocking then some TLC......worth a few quid on him being MOTM when he comes back.

For me his actions today were a step too far. He let his ego cloud his judgement putting himself before the team. He cost us any (admittedly slim) chance of getting back in the game and has reduced CH's selection options at a vital part of the season.
I don't particularly disagree with that. I'd say he lost his composure and that cost both him and the team, rather than putting himself ahead of the team. This happens loads of times with players. He needs to reflect on his actions, and I'd hope he'll apologise to the team and learns to keep control when things aren't going his way.

But mistakes like that don't suddenly make him an enemy of the club.

Hope your right I'll keep my money in my wallet though.

I am afraid to say just another poor defensive performance away from home , really I wish we would have a go at reams away from home , espically now we are almost safe

I don’t think I heard Everton sing a single song. But then again I left at 75 minutes.

You’d be right. Nothing at all from home end until 2-0. Even then piss poor. We weren’t much better though.

Was listening to the commentary on Radio Sussex intermittently as I was "out and about". Is it just me or, about halfway through the second half, did Johnny Cantor say "....and Schelotto is laying there like a porn star..." after he had just come out second best to a challenge.

Yes he did. I was watching a stream, and Cantor was right. He stayed on the ground, head resting on his arm. Just needed a post-challenge fag to complete the look

:lolol: Have to try and spot this if it features on a stream, glad it wasn't just me!

Passing forward from between the center backs isn't too difficult. Class player, not his position.

For me switching Propper and Gross around would be a brilliant move for creativity. Propper plays the role behind the forward well at international level and Gross is a creative midfielder.

Can anyone who went give their 10 line summary of the game please. Was it as bad as WBA because stats seem to imply a reasonably balanced game though Everton had more of the possession.

We were utter shit. Highlight was the penalty save,

Oh come on, Trig, many players are 'finished article' by 23. Rooney played his best football by then. And Rashford? Note I do say not all, just many.
And many aren't. Perhaps Knocky is one that isn't

We were utter utter shit. Maty Ryan is a brilliant keeper. AK needs to lay on a couch with a psychotherapist. Pascal Gross is still a wonderful footballer

Hey ho! A bit disappointed, but not too badly. This was never on our list od points targets, though after our recent form I did sort of hope for maybe getting a point. Still, Everton are a much different animal at home (we should have beaten them at the Amex - think that was before they got Big Sam in to sort them out - which he has; that statement should send any of the loopier Everton fans who might be looking in here into apoplexy!) Never mind, on to the next match.
Still, all the other results (with the possible exception of Newcastle getting three points) went our way - and after the euphoria of last weekend, we haven't really got a lot to complain about, have we? 11th. and loving it!

Toon result was fine, sending Saints towards oblivion. Saints far more likely to go down than Newcastle so it’s fine.

Yeh, maybe - maybe not. Still would have preferred a draw.
