I was one of twelve drummers drumming at primary school when the teachers decided we were going to do the 12 days of christmas.

Then at senior school, after weeks of begging by my music teacher, I finally relented and deigned to join the school orchestra (I was much too good for them you understand) to play lead trumpet in their production of Benjemin Brittens Noyes Fludde.

Can't remember properly, but some nativity themed one. I had to stand and shout "The king and queen of Bologna! Their courtiers and soldiers!"

I must have been n older than four or five, and yet I still remember it clearly. Didn't know what a courtier was until I just looked it up though. :lolol:

I played the Pied Piper in a school play and a hippo in Noah's Ark.

My finest minute came as an innkeeper in a nativity play.

Not strictly speaking school play, but when I used to go regularily to Church, we were doing a nativity play for Christingle, and Mary ( one of the local cute kiddies) had to carry baby Jesus. Anyway, she was bored and mimed giving birth to Jesus by stuffing the doll up her dress and standing up...whereupon baby Jesus fell to the ground.....getting a really good laugh ( much to the chagrin of the Vicar) she proceeded to do it again......the vicars wife shot ger a venomous look and she looked away...ran over to the font and proceeded to "drown " baby Jesus in the holy water.

If only someone had recorded it we would have made a fortune on that home movies thing.
