I don't bet on us winning, which is Mystic Stat's way of guaranteeing a win!

I did have a few quid on Tank scoring the first goal of the second half v Leeds @ Elland Rd, for the 3-3 game.
Naturally I went double nuts, when that went in.

That game where McGhee consigned us to a heavy loss in The Argus on the morning of the Scummers game. I was so fuddled at reading it I was straight down the bookies for a wager after my train got to Southampton. He should have been sacked for that, really. I think he actually said we were going to lose, though my lame memory is hopefully exaggerating that.

I often bet on 0-0 half time score in our away games, which is almost betting against us (scoring in the first anyway)
In fact I will be piling in on under 2.5 goals tonight.
Never bet against us though, it would simply be bad juju.

My brother phone me once before a Palace game and asked if I wanted to go. I replied, "yes get two tickets." Meaning get me and the missus one. All week I spent teaching her the songs and even promised her Chinese in China town afterwards. You can imagine the fuss when brother phoned to tell me he only got two tickets. One for me and one for him.

On the way out of the door to go to the game. I asked the missus if she wanted to have a bet on the game. In spite she threw a fiver at me and said put that on Palace to beat you 5 0. To spite her I put the bet on. I nearly divorced her when I got home with her £250.

Is that true?

Believe betting for the team is a bit like being a fan, not rational but much more rewarding when successful...so no I don't bet against us (often!)

It is true. If you remember the game, it was 5 0 after about 70 mins. I was the only Brighton fan still watching.

oh well,swindon at 15/8 looked tempting so i took it....but will be right chuffed if we get 3 late goals

Oh well, mixed feelings here, 15/8 winner backing Swindon and 6/5 on Hull. Now the quandary as its my Amex debut on tuesday (cannot wait) but do i take the attractive 13/8 that Cardiff win? tbh yes i will and if i lose it will be a glorious loss of a fiver, a draw will be underwhelming, but gets us a point
