Ever been to a game abroad!?

Quite a few games in the Belgian first and second division, a few in the Dutch Eredivisie, a UEFA cup game involving Hibs and RSC Liege, a couple of friendlies (JC Roda Kerkrade v Charlton and Beyer Leverkusen v Liverpool)...and a game in Paraguay, can't remember the names of the teams but one in black and white stripes beat the other (who were wearing the same colours as our friends from Croydon)...think that is about it.

South Melbourne vs Perth Victory, plus the Melbourne derby (which was a bit punchy). Australia vs Uraguay in a world cup play off and in a friendly against France.

Only one. Feyenoord vs Vitesse Arnhem in about 1986. Unremarkable except for the fact it was Johnny Metgod's (older viewers will know who I mean) last professional game before he retired.

I remember him, can't recollect whether I ever saw him play...two of the games I saw in the Dutch Eredivisie featured Romario when he was at PSV (he who graced Wembley this evening)...on the first he bagged a hat-trick, in the second he was marked out of the game by a very average defender playing the game of his life.

Was unbelievable. Best atmosphere i've ever known, non stop singing for 3hrs, the whole stadium was jumping!!

Rubbish, I reckon there was a better atmosphere at MTK Budapest V Debrecen plus the fact we got into the players bar!

I went to see Energie Cottbus play Hannover 96 while in Germany a couple of years ago.

It snowed and I have never been so cold.

Cottbus won 3-0, Fredi Bobic was useless for Hannover and the police couldn't have looked more East German as they waded into the few Hannover fans there with some frighteningly large batons.

I have to say of all the countries I have been to it is German football which ranks the highest. Watching a game with an excellent beer and sausage in hand whilst loads of flag carrying Germans supporters who would look more at home at a heavy metal festival go nuts is fantastic.

Have seen several England games abroad now, but no European domestic football.

Of those Russia v England in Moscow ranks very highly for atmosphere and noise of the home crowd.
