So, the first game under the lights at the Amex is out of the way !!! what are your thoughts??

For me, i think that when the likes of palace/Millwall/Leeds visit it will be impotant to keep the bars in our OWN stands open later. The fact that we can move between the stands has been brillant but i think that when our more 'hostile' visitors come midweek this isnt going to be possible.

what do YOU think will be the solutions?? and how do u think it went tonight??

I think that after any evening game nobody's going to be inclined to hang around the stadium for very long anyways, no matter who the visitors are. Most people just want to get home.

Hope so but i think you could be wrong. It will only take an incident outside the ground to get some people going.

Agreed. For the Spurs and Donny game our group stayed for at least a couple of hours. Tonight we just couldn't be bothered. Queued for around half an hour for a train but didn't wanna risk staying and waiting for that long anyway.

That waiting area is going to be every interesting when we play teams who's fans have less then a stellar reputation shall we say.

There was a real chance of trouble after the game down at the south end; only the good nature of Brighton fans letting it all go in one ear & out the other stopped it from happening, at least I didn't see any. There were some right scrotes from Gillingham asking for it though, with all the usual stuff. For bigger games against the usual suspects will need more thought. The same could probably said for Saturdays as well I suppose.

Oh, & it's only a matter of time before away fans get onto to the pitch, probably in the SW corner after a goal at their end. Needs either more stewards or OB there.

I felt a very different vibe in the ground tonight, maybe due to alot more non sth's in the ground for the cup game.

As for the night game - I think the Palace will be a very dangerous situation with the way the transportation system works.
