1). He can't play against us, and
2). If he helps them take points off the likes of Fulham, Brentford, Villa and Spurs, giving us a chance to finish above all of them, I'm all for it!
If he's helping them take points off those other clubs it's only increasing the chances of Bournemouth finishing above us. It's a hard no here.

I’d happily see him go out on loan for his own sake and Albion’s though there’s a worry about the possibility of leaving ourselves short if we get more injuries up top. I’d have no qualms seeing him bang in a few for Bournemouth. He’s as likely to be harming our competitors as helping one.

He’s looked a passenger whenever he’s played for Albion or Ireland this season apart from his excellent goal against Wolves. Not sure we are in a position to play someone who currently offers pretty well nothing. I’d be happy for him to go on loan anywhere he‘ll get plenty of game time.

If the deal was qualifying for Europe but finishing behind Bournemouth, I'd take it in a heartbeat!
Me too but I’d be annoyed if they qualified thanks to Evan but we didn’t - we wouldn’t be able to lay that all at his feet but he would have helped.

Playing less than he needs and more than he has deserved. Bournemouth det or West Ham not optimal for us, but all things considered better than the current situation.

Sussex but not by the sea
He looked much sharper when he came on at West Ham, and was then immediately ’injured’ again.

However anyone proposing that we loan him to an EPL rival should not be allowed near sharp objects. If we loan him abroad this window then we need to bring someone else in this window. IMO we cannot go into the 2nd half of this season with just Welbz and JP as our only two No ‘9’s.

If he gets a loan I cant see him really getting any game time anywhere else unless he finds a dramatically different gear to anything weve seen this season. Interesting the club are seeking an obligation to buy as they must recognise a dud half season could dramatically lower his value. I think Tony is hedging and prepared to let him go for any sort of sensible number.

This is what Hürzeler said last week:

“It’s not an easy issue, but I hope that it doesn't take too long. I don't want to make or say any clear predictions because I don't know. We really have to go week for week and hope that he's a good healer."

If he's injured with no definite return date, why are presumably his agents offering him about, and why are clubs registering interest for him to cover for their injured players, when he himself started the season injured and is injured again currently?

If he can't do it for us or bother to put in a shift, is he likely to change elsewhere in a few months ?

It is strange isn’t it? Supposedly he is injured. Therefore he is both unavailable and nowhere near match fit- he’s barely looked fit all season.
So why so much interest in him?! Have these clubs even seen him play this season!?
My feeling is any deal will be loan with a commitment to buy.

Reckon if he goes to Bournemouth or West Han he won’t be coming back.

Agree, but he'll presumably find himself in a similar situation (second choice) next season when their injured strikers return to full fitness.
